Trouble with online check-in
OK- trying not to panic -although the hurricane is making it's way toward us!
I am trying to complete the online check in. I booked my trip through my local AAA office (never again but that is another story). I went on line, entered my conf. # and it said it didn't match their records. So, I called Disney and they told me that I should try a different website which brought me to the one I had used www.mydisneyreservation.com/guest. She said that when reservations are done by outside travel agencies, they might have difficulties checking in. She suggested I call my agent. WEll, of course they are closed b/c of the storm (understandably). Has anyone else had this problem? I want to do this before we loose power- could be out for awhile and we leave next Wed. U gotta have a disney reservation number not a TA number. The res is usually in TA name.

Try going to just www.mydisneyreservation.com and drop the /guest at the end. If that doesn't work you'll just have to check in when you get there.

What is the advantages to checking in online before you arrive?

I ended up not having time to do online check in because the site was down when i sat down to do it and i couldn't make the time to do it otherwise before we left. About half of the people that got off off the ME went to the online check in line. Seriously, check in took about 5_10 minutes and the longest part of it explaining who to get around cbr and where or room was. I would not stress about not being able to do it.

I booked through a TA and was able to check in with the confirmation number from Disney.
Your TA should have emailed you the confirmation.
