Hyatt at Orlando Airport before cruise

Has anybody stayed at the Hyatt before the cruise and how was the transfers to the ship from there? Did it run smoothly or was it confusing. We have Disney transfers from the hotel to the ship by a Disney bus and was wondering do they pick up your luggage and take it to the ship for you even if you arriving the day before the cruise? Any pointers or hints would be greatly appreciated.

This is a very popular hotel and topic and there are tons of threads about the Hyatt and the DCL transfers.

The process is very smooth. You come in the day before, claim your luggage at baggage claim (or you can arrange with the Hyatt to pick up your luggage from baggage claim for a fee). Check in and let them know you are taking DCL transfers and they will give you an information letter.

You will leave your checked bags in your hotel room on the morning of the cruise and they will be picked up and delivered to the ship. You do not have to stay in the room with your luggage. it is usually picked up around 8:00 - 8:30.

You then take your carryons and head down to the Magical Express area of the airport and check in for your cruise there. You will be given your KTTW card and be asssigned a bus to the port. You wait until your bus is called and you are transported to the port. First bus leaves about 9:40 or so and get to the port right before 11:00. We were on the first bus and assigned a boarding group of 2 for the ship. Me desk opens between 8:00-8:30.

Very easy process and very convenient.

The process is exactly as stated above. It's EXTREMELY convenient and I highly recommend it.

2 points--make sure that they put you on the list for luggage pick up. THey will also give you a form that you give to the CM at the Welcome Center in the morning when you check in--be sure to complete that form and turn it in. Step 1 tells the Hyatt to be sure they get your luggage and deliver it to Disney, step 2 tells Disney to be sure they have your luggage!

OK, we were totally hyper. After we checked in at the welcome center, I went back to the hotel room to be sure the luggage was taken (it wasn't), so went to desk to verify listing.

This hotel is costly, but very convenient.

We stayed at the Hyatt before our cruise and just loved it. Cant wait to do it again! The process was so smooth and the hotel is gorgeous! We even loved the airport. So many shops and restuarants! They really made the trip effortless for us! I reccomend it to everyone!

As far as we are concerned the Hyatt is the ONLY place to stay the night before a cruise

My son and i were on that cruise with you and stayed at the Hyatt the night before as well. I just looked at your pics and in the picture of the sitting area at ME area, i could actually see my son's blue hat in the background! We were on the first bus to PC that morning too.
