How much was your amont of USD exchange
We are going to be booking this week but wondering what the exchance rate would be our trip total should be around $3500

Most banks have a currency exchange rate on their web site. If you pay with a credit card you will pay the rate of exchange the day the amount is processed (that is what I understand).

Exchange rate right now on RBC, $3500 would cost you $3542.70

Some CCs have an extra fee to exchange, could be an extra 2% on top of the exchange rate.

On the other hand, even when your c.c. charges a fee for the conversion to U.S. funds, you can sometimes wind up ahead, it all depends on the value of the dollar at the time. When I paid off a cruise on my c.c., the Cdn. $ was high compared to the US $. Hey, presto -- I "made" $150 on the deal!

Thank you all so much. I was just wondering if it be $100 or closer to $300. I was budgeting for$300. Woo hoo now we can stay another day. Lol

Check with your bank, I know the RBC will give you a little better discount when you withdraw more than $1001.00 usd from their ATM's.
