We have never eaten at HBD but we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Le Cellier!!! We eat there every trip and have never had a bad meal. A lot of people will tell you that it's not worth 2 TS credits, but I have no problem with that. Delish!!!

Depends on who you ask, but LC is awesome, IMHO.

I have eaten at both many times, and I like them both. I prefer the Brown Derby. It is a little more formal, but still loud enough that I comfortably bring my children. I can also get a reservation much more easily. The meal is as good (or better in my opinion) and I don't have to obsess about the reservation. Although, there is no pretzel bread at the Derby.

I would vote for Brown Derby. I love the atmosphere and have never had a bad meal. On this past trip their filet was the best of my trip (the one at the Yachtsman came close) and my son is still raving over the Bison. Le Cellier is also very good but can be hit or miss (occasionally they can get heavy handed with the salt). Both are good but I find the atmosphere and menu at Brown Derby more unique and special for vacation while Le Cellier is more like a local steakhouse.

That's a tough question, both IMHO are average and nothing extraordinary. If pressed I would have to go with Brown Derby. The atmosphere is nicer and I also think the steaks are better as well. If it were me and if I was on the DDP I would think about going to Yachtsman Steakhouse instead. If I were paying OOP I would have to say Shula's.

Another vote for Brown Derby for all the reasons stated by RookieLady. Plus, the menu is more diverse, and the building itself exudes a sense of history and nostalgia that LC doesn't give me. I really wish that I could be transported back to Hollywood in the Golden Age of Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Clark Gable, or a young Katherine Hepburn and dine at supper clubs and the Brown Derby. This is as close as I'll ever get until someone invents a time machine.

we like both, they are two of our favorites. I really like the sourdough rolls they have at HBD, all the food is pretty good. I like the Filet with mushroom risotto and the maple creme brulee at LC. The nod probably goes to HBD for theming. If you are looking for a good steak, then neither. Shula's or Yachtsmen is your best bet on property. None of them serve a top notch steak but the latter two are pretty darn good.

I've been to both of them, but I've been to The Brown Derby more often. I might be guided by the park I am visiting to decide. The PP who mentioned the Fantasmic package makes a good point.

We go to both Le Cellier and Brown Derby whenever we are at DW. We really enjoy our meals at both restaurants, but I would have to pick Le Cellier. I just love their Filet and so does my DH and DD. It was one of our favorite meals during our 2 weeks there in August. You have a difficult decision, but you will enjoy either one.
