Hi all. Thought I'd try and do a trip report while we're here in Disney at the greatest campground EVER!!

Friday October 19th
After a late night hockey game for the youngest dd and picking up the oldest dd from the Greyhound station and hubby having fire practice last night, we were still able to be out the door with the trailer hitched and driving out of beautiful Port Dover by 6:20 this morning. Drive has been fabulous. The fall colours in Pennsylvania and West Virginia were phenomenal.

Only slight traffic delay outside Charlotte NC. Girls have been great considering we've been in the truck for over 16 hours.

We stopped at the Walmart at Walterboro SC for some sleep.

Up early tomorrow to finish the long drive. Night all.

Saturday October 20th
Teach me to check my iPhone for the time. It said 5:23am and hubby saw the light from the phone and said "wanna get on the road" so off we went. Arrived at the Florida Welcome Centre before 9am. Had our fresh oj and photo op. this time gangnam style. Lmao.

We stopped for breaky at Denny's or else we would have made it to our daytona campground before 11am. Accidentally stopped for gas at the same exit as the Harley Davidson shoppe. Normally not a problem but it was Bike Octoberfest. We're from Port Dover that is famous for its Friday the 13th bikers day so seeing these 100000 bikers is nothing we can't handle but trying to get gas with a travel trailer attached was crazy. Finally made it to the booked solid campground and decided to go for a swim in the ocean at Daytona Beach. High tide was in so we couldn't drive on the beach but we did have fun on the sun.

Even turned our youngest dd into a sand mermaid. Went for dinner at Chilis and did some shopping before Disney tomorrow. The girls found some interesting clothes. Oh goodness!

Your trip report is great. I love the pictures. The sign below the FL sign was funny. Is that your last name & how did you do that? We live just outside Daytona & we have a Harley & attend Biketoberfest. I always feel so bad for the truckers & people with campers/RVs who get off that exit for gas. It is almost impossible with all that traffic/bikes. But you should see March for Bikeweek it is 100 times worse.
Which campground did you stay @ in Daytona? Did you like the beach? We live in New Smyrna Beach just below Daytona & I like ours a little more. It is a bit more quieter & I think prettier.
Were is Port Dover? We have a cabin in Valdor & I personally believe Canada is one of the most beautiful countries around. I am originally from PA & I agree the fall colors are gorgeous there, you picked a wonderful time to come down.
Have a wonderful trip!! I am looking forward to hearing more of your report & seeing your pictures.

Sunday October 21st
Slept well considering all the bikers. Picked up a few last minute things and headed out on I-4 to the Fort. Traffic was good and we arrived about 1ish. Two people in front of us checking in and it still took over a half hour before we could get our turn. So much for online checkin. No dedicated lane for that today. Got our site and realized they'd bumped us from preferred to premium in the 500 loop. Not sure if that'll be to our advantage later on as our friends arrive next Saturday and we were hoping to be together. Have to wait and see. Picked up our golf cart from Kenny and oldest dd was in love with it cause it was "Saints" colours. And even happier cause the Saints won today. Lol. We decided to have dinner at Trails End and we all stuffed ourselves.

Went golfcart looping and dropped the girls off at the movie. Pochantas tonight. Hubby and I relaxed with a beverage while watching a tree obstructed view of Hallowishes.

Hey Kim, a friend has a professional photo studio and took one of our Facebook photos and edited it. Kinda funny.
We stayed at the KOA on S Nova Rd. very busy but fun.
Port Dover is on the north shore of Lake Erie directly across from Erie, PA. Lovely town of less than 5000 that grows to over 160 000 on the last Friday the 13th motorcycle rally. It's crazy.

Your picture are funny.

When you checked in, did you get a list of the Halloween activities? Maybe for the 29th or 30th or 31st? I know the golf cart parade is the 31st at 6 pm but if you have/get the info for the activities maybe you could share it with us? I'm going to ask other posters there too so maybe if one of you get the time you could share it with us when it becomes available?
