Drop Down Bunks in POR???

I have a friend is wants to book a WDW vacation and when I called the resort to ask about the rooms with 2 queen beds and a pull down bunk the cast member said that the bunk was for small children. Has anyone had experience with these rooms are the beds too small for a teenage girl?

Thanks for any and all advice!!

The beds are small.
I slept in one for a few nights last year - I am 5'6 and my feet hung over the edge if I laid on it completely straight. Had to curl up a little.

That being said, it wasn't un-doable. I usually sleep scrunched up anyway, so it didn't really bother me. The mattresses are about 6" of foam, but they are installed in a solid frame, so no bars or slats poking through. The solid frame rests on the upholstered bench underneath when the bed is open, so it is quite sturdy and actually fairly comfortable. As long as you aren't tall and/or you don't mind sleeping scrunched up a little.

I'm also 5'6", small framed, and wouldn't sleep on the pull down bed. But, I would take the mattress off, place it on the floor, and sleep on it there. (Otherwise, I would think about falling off all night. But, maybe that is just me and your teen will be fine.)

The mattress on the pull down bed is a crib or toddler bed mattress, if that gives you a frame of reference as to size. It is 63" x 30".

We had a room at POR in the AB section with the fold down beds. They are too short for a teen girl. They are smaller than a single bed.
