A cute care-package idea - for only $5 including shipping

I have a DD in college- and I am always looking for cute care-package ideas that don't cost a whole lot.

I came across this...and thought I would pass it along. It is a $5.00 cookie, including shipping. (What I do not like about most college care packages - that there is a lot of junk, for a lot of money. This is just a little treat, and doesn't cost a ton!)

(I love the mini-cake idea on this page too - but DD's b-day is over the spring semester parent weekend, so we will most likely be on campus that weekend.)

Those are so cute!!!! Thanks, I saved that to send to DD at some point.

I just got one of those obnoxious college care package letters today. It was detailing how kids are so disappointed when they don't get a fancy $55 and up basket from this company like their friends.

Those are cute! I'm saving the link also for later this winter, when the weather is dreary and the work is getting intense.

Thanks, it is also fun for them to get something not from home but something different and cute.

And heck $5 is good considering cards are $2-3 if your lucky plus postage, so for close to that they get a cookie!

I got that same letter today too! Made me mad - it's about the 3rd one, and it looks like it is coming from the University itself.

LOVE this site. I actually received a Miss Grace lemon cake from them a long time ago and it was wonderful. Never recalled who made it until I saw it on this site. I sent the little lemon cake to my son - only $9.99 and no shipping.

Great tip - thanks!

Oh but don't you know. Kids in the midst of mid-terms, finals, beginning of the semester or anything that might happen at college else perform so much better with frequent and unexpected contact from their family!!!!!! What better way to show them that you are behind them all the way than a bucket of kind of stale popcorn and some packaged cookies? Why, one child in the dorm who received nothing was so down in the dumps when she heard that she didn't have a package that she specifically asked "Is there anything for me????"

Do you really want to be THAT parent? The one who didn't love their child enough?

Oh, and by the way ---- did you know that we can get you sheets that are GUARANTEED to fit our beds?

(Yes, I've gotten the same letters)

Yeah, it's a cookie. I think everyone knows that. It's suposed to be a small "thinking of you".

These cookies are yummy! A former employer used to send out boxes of Cheryl's cookies for a "job well done." We loved seeing that package!

Very cute!

These are adorable!!! Obviously they won't ship to the UK... I really hope I can find a company that does ship things like this to me.

the cookies are actually pretty good. the first time i ordered from them, they messed it up though. i ordered a smilie face cookie for my bf and they sent him a happy birthday one. i wanted to surprise him so i didn't tell him it was coming. i got a phone call from him that went something like this,

him: "ummm... babe... it's not my birthday for two more months."
me: "i know... why?"
him: "you sent me a birthday present." and so on...

we laughed after, but at the time he was a little miffed that i forgot when his birthday was.

i emailed them and they sent a replacement cookie the next day.

i just sent my nephew a pumpkin cookie for halloween and i've ordered the lemon cakes for myself before. very yummy.
