Lets use this thread to track Port Upgrades
This thread will be similar to the one that is tracking *GT assignment. The hope is that once we build some history people might have a better idea of what they will pay if they seek a port upgrade.
#1. What catagory did you pay for? (please make sure you put the catagory you paid for and not the catagory you were assigned. For *GT reservations please put whether it was IGT, OGT or VGT). #2. Which Ship? #3. Number of Nights? #4. Month/Year of Sailing #5. What was your Port of Arrival time assignment? #6. What time did you check-in? #7. What catagory were you offered for upgrade? #8. How much was the upgrade? If there is anything I left off please let me know. It would be great to get this info from anyone who has even attempted an upgrade regardless of whether you accepted or not. The more data the more prepared we will be when we attempt a port upgrade.

#2 - Dream #3 - five #4 - Platinum CC members - arrived at 10:30 #5 - checked in about 10:45 #6 - offered cats V, T and R #7 - cat V was $800, cat T was $1200, cat R was $2500 - we took the T Hope that helps someone. The upgrade prices were probably a little higher because that was a 5 night, not a 3 or 4. Edited to add: this info was from a cruise in August, 2012

Does the number of people in the stateroom affect the upgrade price? We have 5 in a cat 4 and are considering upgrading at port to a suite. Is the price a flat price for the room or is it based on number of people?

#1. What category did you pay for? 5C Military
#2. Which Ship? Disney Wonder #3. Number of Nights? 7 Nights #4. Month/Year of Sailing: Oct. 2012 last Pixar Cruise out of L.A. #5. What was your Port of Arrival time assignment? 11:30 - 12. #6. What time did you check-in? Betw/ 10:15-10:30 #7. What category were you offered for upgrade? We were offered a Cat. T (1-bedroom suite) and a Cat. R. We felt that the Cat. R was just too big for two people, so we asked about the cost of the Cat. T. #8. How much was the upgrade? It was $858, which was the quoted difference between our Cat. 5C and the Cat. T. DH totally loved it- I had to tell him that this category was not going to be an all the time thing. But we really enjoyed it! It was our first cruise as Gold Castaway, and all I can say is "what a way to go!" |
