where to buy disney swimwear?

hi all,

i was wondering if I could get a little help. I saw on Your WDW Store website and you can buy a black swim dress with a white mickey mouse on the bottom. I am staying at AKL in 4 times time and was wondering if i could buy the swimwear from the hotel or MK? or do i have to visit the water parks? (not sure which thread this is meant to go in so sorry for the repost)

If you want something in particular, better to order it.
While they do sell swimwear at all of the resorts and at Downtown Disney shops,
getting exactly what you want in your size when you arrive will be a toss-up.

If it's too late to order (if you mean you're arriving in 4 days from now) then you'll just have to take a look
when you're there.

The resort stores and the water parks stores sell swimwear. I don't know about the specific outfit you're looking at, but "Your WDW Store" is not affiliated with Disney so while it has some of the same merchandise as at DW, some of it is different. I also priced a few of the items and they were much cheaper when I bought them in DW/Disneyland.

You could check the AKL store. If they don't have it, maybe if you bring a photo of it, they could check merchandising for you. Another possibility is the stores at the water parks. I remember past posts from Cheshire Figment, our ticketing guru here on the dis, who works at Typhoon Lagoon. Previously he has said that the water parks have a "shopping pass" type of system that you could use to check the water park store. You pay one day's admission to the water park and have a specified amount of time to go to the store/food kiosks. As long as you return to the gate within the specified time and you're not wet your admission is refunded. You could start another thread asking about this to find out if it is still in effect.

I've seen that swim dress at the gift shop at the Poly and the boardwalk...but I don't know if they keep it in stock all the time and what sizes they have available.

If you can talk someone into getting the SCU # you can order it from home and have it delivered. There was a sweatshirt I really wanted online, but they didn't have my size, so I called and they ordered it from the park for me.
