Today after some drama I was eventually able to transfer an OBB with $200 OBC to March 15th 5D 2A/2K (5/7) for $5359.16

The Eastern for March 22 on the Fantasy is the same price.

We are not happy at all about the increase (we moved from an October, 2013 5A at $4511.36) but really had no choice since we will be cruising, unexpectedly, on RCCL Oasis in May, 2013.

If it helps you compare at all, the RCCL (7 night Eastern) will be May 18, 2013 category D3 at $4694.84 with the same people in the room. Although the kids will be 4/6 at that time. We are with a group but so far there are not enough rooms in our group to get any OBC.

SAD to not be cruising with Disney for a year and a half

IMO I will always try to make sure we save enough to book onboard for a cruise we could actually take, but don't necessarily have to. So not really a dummy date but one with which I have the comfort of knowing I can push it back if I need to. Heck, the one we just moved to March 2014 was originally an OBB from March, 2011 I think. Unfortunately we haven't been able to go yet!!

DD is suppose to graduate that June so we'll probably go on the next reservation instead.

With a saving of $1,814 the switch was a no brainer, it means we'll have to fly back to Ireland the day we get off the ship but I couldn't justify the much higher priced cruise two weeks earlier.

I hate that we're bound by the school calendar and the higher rates. This will be our first trip back to WDW and FL in 9 years. Looking forward to having the space of two connecting rooms for the five of us. My DH is excited about all the bathroom space considering we have 3 DDs.

We are booked on this cruise also.

I'm with you on hating the school calendar. I wish we could still vacation in October and December like we used to.

It looks like our children are close in age? I have a DD who will be 13 at sail time, and a DS who will be 8 by then.
