Restaurants near Port Canaveral/ Cocoa Beach

Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations in Port Canaveral ? We will be staying at Hampton Inn Cocoa beach prior to our DCL cruise in a few weeks and wonder if anyone had some good experiences they could share. We aren't looking for a fancy night out, just a place with good food and atmosphere. Nothing too extravagant (hoping for a check of not more than $60 for 2 adults).

Thanks in advance

We went to Fishlips- they had the best shrimp bisque I have ever had, lots of good stuff on the menu.

You'll have plenty of fancy on the ship - I'd save the money for Palo!

Otherwise, if you have time, I'd drive towards Orlando where you can get REALLY fancy...

I second that. Got the recommendation from the dis last year for our 1st cruise. We didn't know to book reservations from home and when we got to the hotel and called they were booked. We headed over for around 6pm and got seated around 20 min later outside on the mainlevel. It was so nice seeing the water and the next day seeing the restaurant from the ship passing it by. The food is excellent and the service is too. I will book reservations this time before we leave home.

Did you call Fishlips for a reservation? Last time we ate at Rusty's, it was alright but not great for what we paid. I think this time we are leaning towards Fishlips.

@su_A_ve we aren't looking for anything fancy. I looked at Fishlips menu and that about the price we were planning to spend. Did you consider it fancy?

Thanks everyone for the recommendation! We will make reservations in advance.

Grills has fresh fish, good drinks and an outside deck that overlooks the canal that the ships use. Not too bad prices.

I think there are a few good choices all near each other by the port. We had lunch at Rusty's earlier this year and really enjoyed it. We stayed away from Fishlips because the name grossed us out.

Enjoy your cruise!

Anther vote for Grills here.

I have some pictures of it if you send me your e-mail will be glad to forward them so you can see. No problem for way under $60 for two adults.

We always go to Fishlips the night prior to the cruise. Our tradition is to always get the crab legs. Food has always been great and we really enjoy it.

Fishlips or Grills - very casual atmosphere, good food, and definitely under your budget! We are partial to Grills.......

We enjoyed FishLips much more than Rustys but didn't get a chance to try Grills. In August we tried Kelsey's as I had read great reviews of it and we really enjoyed it and it was close to our hotel (Country Inn & Suites).
