Which airport for Gavleston Texas?

Now that Disney is offering Kids sail free I'm thinking of doing the Gavleston cruise. Just need to know which airport Disney transfers will pick us up from. I'm assuming its Hueston but on the Gavleston website they have several airports to choose from.

HOU is the closest, but IAH has more carriers. Both are Houston airports.

For 2013 cruises, DCL is only offering transfers from IAH.

If that's the case, it's a shame. That leaves everyone who flies Southwest with no transfers. I don't get why they would be willing to bus people right past Hobby (it's on the way from Intercontinental to Galveston) without stopping. Major forehead smack on this one. Swooftness, I tell you.

They are doing transfers from Hobby until May 2013. After that it is IAH only.

Interesting, my Pre-arrival guide states that transfers from Hobby are available for 2012 cruises only. Oh, well wouldn't be the first time DCL's printed information was wrong.

Still, that's insane! Southwest is a pretty popular airline!

I live 20 minutes from Galveston so it doesn't impact me the way it will others. I just know how frustrated I'd be PLUS thinking about how the transfer buses from IAH will be passing so close to Hobby. That's just nutty to me. If I wasn't positive I'd be running ragged because Southwest is such a popular airline, I'd offer to shuttle people myself. Sheesh!

Plus you have JetBlue as well flying into Hobby...

We have received conflicting information for our May DCL cruise out of Galveston. Luckily there are various options from HOU Hobby... taxis, limo, and SuperShuttle quoted me $101 for a 10-passenger van when I was there in September to cheer the Magic into port for her inaugural cruise.

Luckily for my November cruise out of Galveston my parents are driving... and picking DD and I up at the airport. They will be our DCL Transport
