No more Ariel room....

My daughter is turning 13 next month and we are getting rid of all of her Ariel things in her room. So sad. I had her room done according to a pic in the Disney catalogue at the time, and it turned out so beautiful, with hand painted wallpaper cut out murals of the characters, Ariel bedspread, curtains,a wall piece with hanging tulle etc etc...all to be gone next month. Just looking for sympathy, lol, for other Disney lovers who may understand....

Also, does anyone know if those character murals would be re-usable? All I had to do was wet them, and they have stuck on the wall perfectly for 7 years.... Hate to throw them out they were sooo well done!

I totally feel for you. When our dd was 7, dh painted her walls this pepto bismal pink (her choice) and then he painted Cinderella, Ariel, Melody, Aurora, Snow White (all at least 3-4 feet tall) and Sebastian and Flounder on 3 of her walls. He did a pretty great job. she also had lots of "princess stuff" - snow globes, figurines, music boxes, banks etc. But, when she was 16, she was ready for something more grown up, so we painted over them. It was a sad day for me and a little sad for her too. She still kept out a lot of the princess stuff and when she left for college I was the one packing them up. But life goes on and we will always have pictures and the memories of those paintings.
