SO Dissapointed!!!
I called bright and early this morning in hopes of snagging a great discount on a deluxe reservation at the Poly or CR, but the prices I was given were NOT discounted to the 25 -35% advertised! If they were, I dont know how they did it because the rates I found for packages on the WDW website were only a few hundred more dollars that what the reservation specialist quoted me
Could someone with experience help me out? what did i figure wrong? We're going in the value season and staying only two weekend nights out of the 6 we'll be there...Started off a very dissapointing morning. I should also say, I was looking for garden wing rooms at both, nothing special!

ETA: I just checked the Disney website and the 25% discount is at WL and all of the other deluxes are 35% off. So, your discount should be $316 for 2 nights.

[QUOTE=Marionnette;46401411]A Garden View room at the Poly goes for $452/night on weekends during value season. 25% off of the rack rate would be around $113 off each night and the maximum discount of 35% would be a savings of $158/night. So your savings for 2 nights under the discount would be in the range of $230-$316, depending on what discount was available for your dates. It sounds as if the reservation CM got it right.

With Room and Tickets only it was 500 cheaper! |

here's what we got....
2/28- 3/8 at the Poly with dining, 2 adults, 2 kids (10 & 7) went from $7100 to $6100. Was hoping for more, and it sure isn't 35%....but we'll take it! |

Remember that MLK weekend (Jan.18-20) is excluded from the percentage discounts. If your trip included those dates, that could cause the numbers to line up.
I booked RO at WL this morning and got 20% off over MLK weekend, not the 25% offered for other dates. |

Did the CM price out the discount room-only rate or the discount package rate? I got a price quote and the CM priced out both options for me over MLK week. The room only discount with dining and tickets added on was FAR cheaper than the package discount.

Did you do just the RO on the online system and see what the price was and if it was 35% off?

I just got off the phone with Disney to take advantage of their new specials--I checked online and the quote I got was 800 bucks cheaper, including dining, and when I called to have it applied to our reservation, the CM couldn't find it. I spent an hour on the phone with her, eventually she found the right special and Voila! I saved 800 bucks!
I also found in small print online the booking code to give, which helped out. And the code was only good for quick service dining, but the website let me upgrade the dining. It took the CM a few minutes but she figured it all out. Basically, if I'd have gone with her original quote to me, I'd have saved a whopping 200 bucks. I'm very very glad I stuck it out! Good luck! ![]() ![]()
