Anyone notice Hilton/Hampton Inns in Orlando price going UP??

I was checking prices for my trip that just passed in September and was getting as low as $67/night for the Hampton Inns near Disney and Universal. Now I'm pricing them and they have gone up to over 100/night! Anyone else notice this?
I stayed on site for the first time last week and yes I loved it but to save money next time I wanted to try off site again. But at 100/night I think I may just stick to the values at WDW.

Sounds like the principal of Supply and Demand.

the prices go down when the rooms sit empty, thus price goes back up when the trend turns

Ok. Try this to see if it helps. I have found it gives better rates for Hilton brand hotels

http://directconnect.hilton.com/dc/d...equestid=35544

It's their MVP rate. All you have to have is a Hilton honors account which is free .

Edit: Just checked and link no longer works for the special rate....maybe I shouldn't have posted it .
