Excursion and Spa payments

When you book excursions and spa things, as well as Palo and Remy dining, is your credit card immediately charged? Or, do they charge you at the time the service is given? My sister was able to start booking things today and she thought you had to pay in full but there was no where to put in her payment information when she was booking her excursions and spa things, etc.

Here's another question -- can you cancel things without penalty? For example, if I booked a stingray excursion and decided once we got to FL that it was going to be too doggone cold to do it (this is my fear), can I cancel it once I'm on the ship?

Lastly, what are the odds that if I didn't book the stingrays (or something similar) that there would be availability once I got on the ship to book it? I know January is iffy and I am worried about booking things and then the weather being bad. But yet, I don't want to pass up the opportunity if it is not.

Some things you do not pay for such as Remy and Palo. When we ordered the rainforest passes we had to pay when we ordered them.

I believe you can cancel up to 24 hrs in advance with no penalty.

Excursions are charged to your ship account after you board.

The excursion/spa stuff will be added to her onboard account the day the service is done.

Cancellation of prebooked excursions/spa must be done 3 days prior to START OF CRUISE (not date of event). It's possible that you might be able to cancel onboard, and if they are able to "resell" the spot you won't be charged, otherwise you will be charged.

Don't know about the stingray availablity onboard, sorry.

You don't pay for anything when you book it on line (spa/Palo/Remy/excursions). Spa and adult dining are charged to your account on the day you actually do them, excursions are charged to your stateroom account on day 1.

As above, you can cancel anything up to 3 days before embarkation with no penalty. Beyond that, an excursion will only be refunded IF it can be resold to another guest. Spa must be canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled service (which means if you booked a service for embarkation day or day 2 morning, you can't cancel on board unless they can resell it--or you can cancel, but you'll pay whether you go or not ) The spa cancel penalty is 50% of the charge for the service.

Palo is very flexible about changing reservations and/or canceling. Go to the location for Palo ressies on the ship if needed. You can cancel a dinner up to 2 pm the day of the dinner without a charge; again, after that if they can resell your spot, they will.
