Help can't decide between cruise east/west and dec disney!

Hi, we are booking a trip for december 2013 and I can't decide between two options:
1. Dec 7th-14th Western Caribbean and Dec 15-22 in orlando at parks OR
2. Dec 14th-22nd on Eastern Caribbean and Dec 7-14th in orlando at parks

I favor the western ports but am worried about crowds approaching christmas, so can't decide if we should stick with cruise first as planned or swap it for cruise second to avoid crowds? Any advice?

You should really post this on the cruise board. They'll have lots of opinions for you!

Agree. More cruisers work WDW into their plans than the other way around.

We do the parks first and then the cruise second. We find the parks to be a bit more hectic and the cruise is a nice way to relax after the parks. I would also suspect that the closer to Christmas you get, the busier the parks will be.

Completely agree with this. We found the cruise to be a perfect way to rest and recuperate from the previous week at the parks. And the earlier in Dec. you are at WDW, the better, crowd wise.

I don't know about the best cruise, but I would definitely pick Dec 7-14 to be in WDW over Dec 15-22.

We have done both the Eastern and Western and each have their perks.

from a timing issue, I would do the parks first, then the cruise. the crowds should be a little lighter the 7-14 . Also we like to do the parks, then relax on the cruise.

Park first. Cruise second. That's how we did it last February and will continue to do it. It was such an amazing way to relax and end a wonderful week.
