Quiet spot in EPCOT or surrounding area - The DIS Discussion Forums

I am wondering if anyone has a secret (or not so secret) quiet spot they can recommend in EPCOT or at Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach or even Swan/Dolphin.

My daughter has a phone interview tomorrow (yes, on a Sunday afternoon) and is hoping to find a relatively quiet place to take it. We are staying at OKW and tomorrow is our only day at EPCOT so she'd like to take the call somewhere in or nearby the park.

I've never looked for it - but does Boardwalk have a business center that she could sit in? How about one of the other resorts out the back of EPCOT?

Any thoughts you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Chase bank is sponsoring the Food & Wine Festival and they have a lounge at the Wonders of Life/Festival Center. If you have a Chase credit card, you could go in. I haven't seen it yet but it is supposed to have tables, chairs and power outlets to use.

I'd go to Guest Services at Epcot and ask for help. One place that looks quiet to me (I've seen people sleeping!) is the hallway at the back of Innoventios Right - East, I think, facing The Land/Imagination. But it's probably not as quiet as I think.

The difficult thing is that although there are a few areas that are generally quiet, all it takes is one noisy family passing by to turn it upside down!

In Epcot, one of the quietest spots I've found is in Morocco. If you are facing the pavilion from the main walkway, it will be on the left side just before all the arches to the back section. It's supposed to be a replica of a Moroccan home courtyard. There are benches in there and a small water fountain. People pass through, and a few take a photo or two, but since there's not much to see, they pretty much keep going. Since it's open to the sky, noise doesn't echo or anything like it would if you were indoors, but since it's enclosed, you don't get a lot of ambient noise either.

At BCV, there is a room off the main lobby area with doors that close. There are some chairs and a TV (which is usually off) and it is usually quiet.

I don't know of any really quiet spot in BC, but at YC if you head down the hall and pass the entrance to the gift shop, there is some window seating in the hall and during the day not a lot of traffic in that hallway.

At Boardwalk, the Belle Vue lounge is usually pretty quiet during the day (just stay as far from the elevator as possible).

There are business centers at BW and YC/BC convention centers. I have seen them, but haven't been inside so I don't know how quiet they are. It probably depends a lot on whether there are any conventions in house.

It might be worth approaching the concierge desk at any of the resorts and just explaining that you need a quiet area and why. They would have the best information regarding a good spot.

I agree with asking for a quiet spot at guest services or at the resorts and a cast member can direct you to a good place.

Boardwalk and Yacht Club both have business centers, and conference centers. That would be my bet. I have taken work calls in Boardwalk Conference center, and it worked well.

I have one-how about in the red phone booths in the area of United Kingdom? Canada has one too.

Bet it's quiet in there. I am being serious.

Until someone starts banging on the door for their chance at a photo op. I've had that happen when I was actually using the phone in one of them. Plus, they aren't ventilated so it gets really hot very quickly.

I think this would be the best option as could be at a quiet area and a family or tour group walks by and disturbs you, especially if its an important phone call.

If you exit the international gateway from Epcot And make a left there is a walkway heading to the boardwalk. Along the path is a bump out overlooking theblake and is an extremely quiet sitting area. It is less then five min walk from the exit.

The spot Woodkins describes came to my mind right away. It is outside, but normally very quiet area. It's on the right side just before you get to the ESPN Club - you can't miss it. Once you walk over the bridge from Epcot to go to the ESPN Club you will see it.
