Water Park Attire
Heading to WDW tomorrow. We might be going to to a Disney Water Park for the first time (after 10+ visits to WDW) this trip.
I say might because... my swimsuit doesn't fit. I can squeeze into it, but I feel like a sausage. So... Wanted to know if I could wear a t-shirt or cotton dress (very thin, like a cover up) in the park, on the slides, in the pool. Anyone know? Thank you so much!

Whilst I am but a balding middle aged man myself, I will try and answer as we are at the waterparks more than any other park.
Believe me, I have seen just about every style of bathing suit and cover up imaginable at both parks, and I don't think it really matters at all what anyone wears. I myself wear my trunkz and a t shirt as I burn so easily and don't want to ruin the whole week by feeling lousy. If you are talking about rides and if you could wear a pair of shorts and a t shirt over your suit, I have seen this done. Feel free to make yourself comfortable. And, just a heads up, don't go down the big slide. Every amount of clothing you have on your body somehow ends up being a wedgie Also remember this, at the end of the trip, there will not be one person other than those that are traveling with you that will remember one thing about what you were wearing. |

Yes you can, I wear t-shirts there all the time. I'm sporting quite the farmer's tan now! :D Make sure it doesn't have any buttons or sharp bits that could hurt any slides. They might make you remove it if you go down that long, fast slide but I'm not brave enough for that. I've worn it on the other slides, the river, wave pools, family ride, etc. It's not a problem.
I wear water shoes too. And um yeah....lots of lady's butts all over the place.

Also, I am not a small woman. I do wear swim shorts and a t-shirt over my bathing suit top because I feel less insecure. But even if you don't, there are all types of sizes there. Honestly, I don't think anyone pays attention though.
But I DO notice the thongs, Not very Disney like but hey, not my business, lol

I'm heavier than I would like but honestly whenn I'm at the water parks I just want to be comfortable and have fun. I wear a one piece ad just walk around in that. But I have seen lots of men and women in coverups. I like the poster who mentioned that no one will be thinking about what you are wearing when all is said and done. Have a blast- we love the water parks.
