So this is at the MK? I read somewhere each day you visit you get a free pack of cards? Is this true? And if so where do you get the cards??

Yes. You can pick up one pack per day per ticket at the Firehouse, which is on Main Street right next to where you enter. You will also get a map and you can practice casting spells.
