Best resort breakfast?

One of my very good friends is coming down in December to visit NF and eat at Be Our Guest with me. We'll be at the parks for just 1 day and staying at the Hilton on property next to DTD that night. I thought it would be nice to sleep in the next day and visit a resort for a late breakfast before heading out. What is your favorite resort breakfast that is both 1) tasty and 2) affordable? We don't really care about characters, and buffets are OK but I have a feeling that would be more expensive than a la carte.

Our favorite resort breakfast is Boma at AKL. Hands down. Buffet? Yes. But wonderful!

Could you tell me if this is this a TS or QS credit and do you need reservations?

My faves for breakfast are Kouzzina, Kona (best coffee!!) and GF Cafe. Not a fan of buffets, but still go to Boma sometimes.

It would be a table service credit.

DH loves 'Ohana and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. 'Ohana is served family style and 1900 is a buffet. They both have characters, but the food is really good too.

Another vote for Boma, we do not go to Ohana or Chef Mickey anymore.

Two of our favorites for the food as well as atmosphere are Cape May at the BC and Ohana at the Poly. Both have characters, with Cape May being a buffet and Ohana being all you can eat served family style.

Thanks for the great suggestions, everyone! I've heard wonderful things about the Tonga Toast, and after looking at the menus, Kona seems the most affordable. So we'll plan on that for now. Keep the ideas coming, though!

If you're really just interested in visiting a resort for breakfast, and don't care about ambiance/being waited on AND you want to try tonga toast just go to the counter service at The Polynesian (Captain Cook's) where you can get an order of tonga toast at quite a bit less than Kona Cafe.

However, we thought tonga toast was way too sweet (like sickeningly sweet to the point 3 of us couldn't finish one order...so don't order this stuff unless you have a very sweet tooth.) So our preferred special treat breakfast is at the Kona Cafe, The Big Kahuna platter...it's around $15 and has eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes and favorite macadamia nut pancakes. Will totally fill you up, guaranteed! And the Kona coffee is fabulous, if you like really good coffee.
