FD in March. Wishful thinking?
So, I want to take my sister down to the World for a week in March; and since we are both foodies, I wanted to get the DxDP so we could try some signature restaurants. My plan is to book a moderate to get free dining and upgrade to Deluxe. I'm thinking of booking for the week of March 2- March 9. Now, this year FD didnt start until March 3, but I dont know if they choose the dates based on what day of the week it falls on (ie. March 3 this year was Saturday) so the dates may be different. I'm really hoping this week isnt too close to peak seasons for FD.
![]() I also was thinking, if the dates turn out to be the same, I could make one reservation for Saturday March 2 and a separate one for the rest of the week in order to qualify. Thoughts, anyone? Tips? Suggestions? Im all s

Looks like no fd dining until the normal late summer dates this yr. Thay have new savings coming out on wed for march. RO discounts and stay/play/dine discounts. Been hearing decent discounts for full pkg. Disney visa holders are already booking. So who knows whats gonna be left.....

Really? That's dumb :/ I talked to a CM tonight and she said they would be releasing dates within the next few weeks if they continued it. I guess we'll wait and see.

The current discounts, RO or stay/play/dine, cover your dates. They open for the general public on 10/10, and are open for Disney Visa holders now. The s/p/d discount works out to $17.16 per night for dining, which is the same as a child's price. The upgrade to deluxe would add $44.38 per adult per night, and $9.68 per child per night.
With 2 people in a moderate hotel, you'll find the 30% off RO discount and steeply discounted dining come out to be almost the exact same price. |
