Good morning, Js & Ks!

There is something really "wonky" with the Airtran and Southwest websites these days. When I try to book Airtran for our November trip all is fine until I get to the return trip. then the only flight is listed at $461 for an economy non-refundable fare. We could book Business Class at full price for just a few $$ more.

The flight numbers are all strange too. And, if I try to book it through the SW site it says the flight is "sold out!" Yeah, riiiiight. At that price??? I don't think so!

Aaaaaaaaaaaackkkk... They JUST fixed the Airtran site. Now that $461 flight is $98. I could book that! But the flight down is still $125. I think it could likely drop before November. I have never booked an open flight like that before!!! Thoughts from someone who has?

I would wait, at least on the higher priced flight. (If $98 is good, grab it!)

Those times when I have booked and later found a sale for the same flight, I have called Airtran immediately and they will "credit" the difference (less $15 - their service fee! ) The credit is good for one year and can be used when booking another flight, upgrading a flight -- but I'm unsure if it can be used to pay a baggage fee since I don't pay those!

We decided to take a chance and wait. I paid $69 each way last month so I am hoping there will be a reduction (of a little bit anyway) in the next couple of months. Thanks for the confirmation on our thinking!!

I have spent quite a while looking for the answer to this question, but I am getting impatient!

When we put in our request for room location for AKL CL, what should we ask for? We have stayed on both sides of the lodge before, both as CL as well as "regular" guests. In the past we have requested close to the elevators but Bob has a scooter now. I really don't want to have to walk too far, but would really like a great view of the savanna. Suggestions?

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen them at $69. I had to give in and buy at $109 each way for my upcoming trip, maybe because its near summer time. I kept waiting for them to go down and it never happened.

I am a little concerned that the return fare won't go down since it is Veteran's Day Weekend. But as long as it doesn't go UP I will be happy!

Elin, they will usually place CL guests on the 4th floor and in the first pod off the lobby -- either Kudu or Zebra. Most of my CL resort stays have been on the Kudu side (we've had 4219 and 4225 most of those stays!! ).

One time they placed us in 4301 - which was the 1st room in the 3rd pod on Kudu and for some reason I have an "*" by it -- I do that when it was an awesome room or location!

I would suggest letting IPO know what your wishes are. They know how to make requests to meet you desires!

The "Golden Girls " trip we had 4219 and 4221 (Kudu side) and December 2010 we were on Zebra in Room 4425 (I think). I didn't think the view from that room was so terrific, although these photos might prove to make me rethink it...

I am betting the "*" was to remind you what a gorgeous view you probably had. I would think the third pod would be a good location.

The rear elevators are located between the second and third pods.
