Tipping of ME Drivers

I did a search in the threads, and what I found was a bit old, so was not sure. Is $1 per bag still appropriate or should it be more? I want to be sure to tip correctly for their hard work of lugging those bags!

Thanks!

$1 per bag is the standard tip for drivers, bellhops, etc.

I generally give $2 per bag but honestly, if everyone gave $1 per bag, the drivers would do quite well.

I was thinking $2 myself. I will only have one bag and it seems a bit cheap for a $1 tip for that

I tend to over-tip as I do accounting work for a restaurant company and know how hard servers work for their tips!

We've always tipped $2/bag. Drivers really appreciate it too.

That has the potential to be the best paying gig on property

I usually do $2/per bag, but like today when we got on ME to go home, i only had my little carry on under the bus so i gave $1 Honestly, im glad i see a thread on here about this because DH and I are only 25 (age shouldnt matter) but were the only two on the ME bus that when we got to AoA tipped that poor bus driver... (from what i could tell) and thats terrible because they work really hard!

I travel a lot for work and then of course for vacations. I tip the ME driver $1-2 per bag, this is equivalent to what tip the bellhop, other bus drivers, sky caps or anyone that has to assist with my luggage.

On our last trip we noticed that just about no one tipped the ME driver.

1. Doesn't a different ME bus take your lugagge?
2. If you don't have any luggage, why tip?
3. If all you have is carry on, why don't you carry it on?

Sorry if these seem dumb questions, but I ask seriously. When we travel, the large suitcases are taken in the other bus, I carry my own carry on, and I tip $5.00 for the driver to load the wheelchair.

We tipped $2 last night as we had taken our bags with us and the driver loaded and unloaded them for us.

We usually just grab our own luggage so that's why we tip - he loads and unloads our luggage for us so we know who to give the tip to
