disney outlets - The DIS Discussion Forums

Headed to WDW in November and wanting to know which is the best disney outlet to visit... I understand there are three in the area. We will not be doing any other shopping, just the disney merchandise store. Which one is most convenient? (we will be at Allstar Music) Any favorites or does it really matter?

The Character outlet at the Premium outlets is the closest and the best.... Dont bother with the one at the lake buena vista outlet.... it has 2 outlets but the stuff is really not good quality. I've alos had really good luck with the outlet on international drive it is a bit bigger and has really nice stuff. My last trip I was eyeing a pink swearshirt at mousegears my entire trip... could not get myself to pay the $51 bucks for it but found it on international drive outlet for $14.99! I was over the moon! ended up getting 3 sweatshirts for the price that it would have cost for the one on disney property!

The outlet on I-drive is a hike and you have to deal with the traffic and lights. Still, there are some nice stores there. The Lake BV outlet on 535 is easy to get to and there are some nice stores there as well. I've had some luck there finding things.

The two stores at the Premium Outlets (Vineland is closer, I-Drive is further) are true Disney outlets. The staff are Disney Cast Members, and the merchandise is park surplus; generally end of line. The stock changes fairly often, and not all sizes will be available in all styles. Prices are much lower than MouseGear. We ALWAYS find a few great bargains here!

The LBV Outlets store is mostly Disney Licensed merchandise; not the same stuff you find in the parks. It os more like the stuff you find at Target and Publix in Orlando. You are more likely to find a full range of sizes in the stock at LBV however. We actually prefer shopping for our Disney licensed stuff at Target/Publix however; similar pricing and nicer stores.
