I'm not a huge baseball fan... but I do like to watch it when the finals role around. So cool that you were there not only for a game but for a pennant winning one at that! So cool.

I think my dad cried after that game, too. Although for different reasons...He's a HUGE Yankees fan. I'm pretty sure their loss broke his heart!
I'm not a baseball fan at all, but It's really cool that you guys got to see your team win big!!

I can imagine winning the pennant was that much more exciting! Right now I'm hoping the Giants beat the Cardinals (still bitter about last year...LOL), but if they make the WS I'll definitely be pulling for the Tigers!
Yes it was!
How awesome that you got to attend 2 games!
It was really exciting!

Baseball has always been my favorite sport. As a kid it was a huge treat when my dad would take us to a game or 2 each season
It was pretty awesome!

I'm sorry for your dad. I think the Tigers just wanted it more than NY did.
Thanks

That stinks that the night game was cancelled. What a pain that you had to wait around but at least it wasn't raining on you!!!

But I'm glad to hear you were able to make it back the next day to see the Tigers win the pennant!

I'm a Red Sox fan, so it is "Wait until Next Year!" Again!

The cancellation of the game was really odd but the weather the next day was much better so it worked out fine in the end

Thank you!!

We've had a lot of years like that too!

That's great you got to see that game. My ds#2is a huge Cardinals fan and is upset with his team right now. They should have won the series already. So tonight is going to be stressful watching the game.

Thank you
We are hoping the Cardinals win the NLCS because if the Giants win the games will be on too late at night

Of COURSE the park won! It would have for me too if I'd been there 6 hours already.

Oh wow, that is good that you hadn't pre-purchased the PP! I would have been so upset if I had that happen to me.

Good choice of ride. Can't go wrong with a little bit of happy haunting.

How true. Anything Mickey shaped tastes significantly better than normal food.

Just like Caitlin, I am determined that one day my Dad will be that guy. Next time we go, I am insisting that we sit close enough to the front.

Very awesome about the Tigers! I've been following Caitlin's posts on FB. I am convinced for myself though that the Cubs will never be in that position. That's okay. I can live vicariously through others.

What an amazing experience for you and Caitlin. I was rooting for the Tigers. (I hate the Yankees.) I can't pull for them in the World Series if the Cardinals go. (I love the Cardinals.)
