Disney Gift Card App
Not sure if everyone already knows about this iPhone App (and maybe Android, I don't know). It was free.
It is just called Disney Gift Card. You can enter in all your Disney gift cards. As you use them, it will update the current balances when you refresh. It also shows where and when each was used. It is particularly useful when you have multiple gift cards. I have a bunch because I got many $50 ones during the Stop & Shop gift card promotion (where you get back a $15 Catalina coupon for every $50 gift card you purchase). |

Thank you so much for sharing this! I wish we had known about it last month when we were there! We had quite a few and couldn't remember which receipt went with which gift card. Will have to download it and use it next year. Thanks again!

It is wonderful. We used it last November when we went and it held the balances of the cards we didn't use through our trip this past August. Never had a problem.

Thanks, sounds very handy! Do you know if it will work for a Disney reward card too? Or, is it just the gift cards?

It doesn't work for the Rewards Cards but it does work for merchandise cards.
My own experience with the app is that it is extremely wonky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it can't access the latest balances on the cards. When it works, it works great. But it is so unreliable that I don't use it as my primary method of keeping track of the balances. BTW - I've had this app for a couple of years, so it's been this way for a long time.

At Stop & Shops in NJ, the last couple of Junes, they ran the same crazy promotion. Buy any $50 Gc (except for Stop & Shop, or those Visa/Amex ones) and you get a $15 Catalina for use on groceries. I spend hundreds on food each week, so using the coupons was easy, but you can apply only one per purchase, so lots of spilt orders to use several in a trip. (I use the self check out, and pay with my debit card, so I am not a complete PITA to people behind me). The first year I bought about $500 in Disney GC for an upcoming Disney trip. Last year, we bought about $2000 in Lowes GC for our 2 bathroom renovations, along with a few hundred Disney GC. |
