Everyone in your room will get there own card. These are used to track who gets off/on the ships at port. You control which cards have charging privileges. You can put a fixed amount on the kids' cards so they can by smoothies or souvenirs.

Every person on the ship gets a KTTW card. It is personalized for each individual. You need them to get on and off the ship

Is this new? It used to be that you either had charging priviledges or didn't. You couldn't put a specific amount on the card.

Even our 10 mo. DGS had a KKTW. He didn't get charging privileges.

I've never heard of placing a fixed amount on a KTTW charge account (other than the max on cash accounts placed by DCL!). Cards either have charging or they don't.

Each person on the ship has a KTTW card. For minors, the parents must sign financial responsibility in order for the card to have charging attached.

The fact that a child is issued at KTTW card doesn't mean that the parent needs to give it to them--your young child will need a KTTW card only to get on and off the ship. Once they are old enough to move around the ship on their own, they'll need the card to get in and out of the stateroom. And if they lose it (or if mom locks hers in the cabin) it can be re-issued at Guest Services.

Actually, if you lock your card in your cabin and your stateroom host isn't around, GS can issue a "one time use" card that will allow you to open the door one time only; you then retrieve your card and go on your way.

My apologies, looks like you can't set a fixed amount for charging on a specific card. I could have sworn I read that was an option some where as I considered it for our last cruise. I must have confused the cards with the stateroom accounts. Because we had two rooms, I could have put an amount to the stateroom account my teenagers card was tied to while using the other room for charging only. Sorry for the mix up.
