Here Now - Ticket Problem

Just checked into ASMu and asked to have our park tickets separated from our KTTWC
I was met with blank stares followed by we cant do that go to the parks and have that done or maybe concierge can help you. I explained that I have done it upon check in a couple of times and they basically told me they don't know how, go to the parks.

Before I run myself crazy, can anyone tell me how this is done. We have two day park hoppers and I want them separated off of the KTTWC so we can all upgrade to whatever ticket we need to with messing up the dinning credits.

Thank you.

If you go to guest services at MK, they can upgrade your tickets and nut mess up your dining. That is what we did. They removed the tickets, upgraded them and then we had our room key that had dining and a seperate upgraded ticket.
When I checked in I was told that was the best way.

Not all seem to know how to do it. When I checked in at POFQ in May, we asked for our tickets to be put ON our KTTW and the person at the desk didn't know how, but another CM was able to do it for us

In general, I believe that the CMs working ticketing at guest relations at the theme parks are more knowledgeable/able to do stuff than are the CMs working at the resorts.

It's not really worth the hassle to have them separated if you weren't successful the first time. Just take your KTTW card to the park and do your upgrade. Your dining credits should be totally fine on your KTTW card afterwards. Having the tickets removed is just adding an extra step to the process and it's not really necessary.

exactly and IMO it's better to have someone who knows what they are doing than have someone guessing and 'trying to help'. As others have said just go to a park guest relations and they'll do it.

Concierge is just at the other end of the check-in counter, or maybe across the lobby (depending on the resort). Did you try going there?

Do it at the park -- I did it at the MK on Sunday with no issues at all!

If the front desk CMs told you that "maybe the concierge can help you", why not start with the concierge?

And unless there's a specific reason why you absolutely, positively MUST have the tickets seperated before you get to the parks ... just do it at the parks. You'll have to do that anyway to upgrade, right?

Upgrade some of the tickets (still on the key cards) just after entering the park. Use them to charge meals on the meal plan.

On the way out that evening, upgrade the rest of the tickets. Use these for the meals the next day.

If per chance a room key doesn't work at the restaurant, have it fixed back at your resort.

Do it at the park main entrance. Do not try to go it with someone who doesn't know the ins and out of the ticketing system.

I am confused. Why would I want my park tickets separated from my Key to the World? Isn't that convenient to have it all on one?

I plan on adding park hopping when I get there..... is this an "upgrade" or is the OP talking about a different kind of upgrade?

Sorry if my question is stupid.

None of the concierge at POFQ knew how to do it for us in September either. They told us to do it at the parks. We did it at MK and it took just 2 minutes with absolutely no issues. We were on the Deluxe Dining Plan and nothing got messed up at all.

The Resort Concierge should know how to do it. Not all do, however.

The check-in CMs don't all know how to do it, but some do. They tend to be less familiar with the operations though - I had one "lose" the ticket credentials when taking separate tickets and putting them ON the KTTW card. Lost lots of time on that one.

Also, there have been less stories of problems with DDP credits getting messed up with ticket transactions done at the parks. In fact, I can't recall seeing any myself.
