can i Park hop to Epcot on November 10 please help - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi my cousin works at disney world and shes going to let in me and 2 other family members to the park. Its on november 10 and we are planning on going first to magic kingdom and then park hop for a couple hours to epcot. I recently found out that there is a black out date for epcot on November 10. Does this mean that they wont let me in? or can they still let me in? please if anybody can answer me i would greatly appreciated

i gueess...it just sometimes shes to hard to get a hold of her...and im still not sure if im going to the trip..to my knowledge nothing is going on on november 10 i know the food and wine festival is at epcot but i just wanted to know if they would let us in or not since it has a blackout date

Your question would be better answered on the theme parks board. But if there is a blackout date for CM entry passes on that date, then you wouldn't be permitted in.

Where did you hear there was a blackout date (and I wouldn't even answer here but include it when you ask on the Theme Parks board).

The reason for Epcot closing that night is that Nov. 10 is the Food & Wine 1/2 Marathon and it ends in Epcot. Afterwards there is a private party for runners and any of their friends/family that they purchased tickets for. I think it's open till 3am! My daughter and son-in-law are running in it.

This is why. Epcot is the only park blacked out on 11/10. It's my birthday and I was planning on eating at coral reef that day but had to cancel it.

Sooooo...this blackout only applies to cast members right? This won't affect people on vacation will it?

Yes. OP was referring to a cast members complimentary main gate admission pass.

The days in November where a CM cannot bring in Guests using their Main Gate Pass are November 10 for Epcot and November 17 thru 30 for Magic Kingdom. And the readmission tickets issued in another Park that day are not valid for the blocked out Park.

The CM can still get into the blocked out park on their ID, but not with any Giests.
