Cruising with a cast
I am wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge of them letting a guest use the Aquaduck with a small are cast. I have waterproof covers for it, which have already been tested, but my ds fractured his wrist last Friday and we sail Sunday. Just curious if he will be allowed to go on it, or if I need to warn him now.

In June 2011 I saw several people ride the aquaduck with a cast.
In fact, I was in a splint and sling because I dislocated my elbow one week before the cruise. I decide not to go on the ride but I never ask if I could. My splint extended beyond my fingers and went up to the upper part of my arm. It might as well have been a full arm cast. I was in too much pain to even consider riding the ride so, I did not. |

I have ridden it with my eldest daughter with a wrist cast (Scaphoid fracture, actually broke both arms 4 weeks before we went lol but cast was off one due to it being plated instead).
Don't worry they'll have a great time. |

Thank you so much! That is the same bone he fractured lol! I was on pins and needles to see if surgery was needed and if we could go on the cruise at all.

I should stress that was me with the broken arms rather than daughter as my post was badly worded.
I had no problems at all really except the heat swelling my fingers so much I felt a little uncomfortable at times. Unfortunately with Scaphoid fractures (I'm now an expert not really) it's important the cast is very rigid so a removable one is highly unlikely so soon after breaking. Mine was on for a total of 4 months I think with the last month being a split cast that could be removed for a much needed proper shower!Good luck and I'm sure he'll soon forget about it, especially with plenty of treats like a Disney Cruise, I know I did and I'm nearly 40. |
