Baby shower game prizes

I know I've seen these done a couple ways. Some the prizes are just for the guest, at other showers I've seen game winner and mommy to be get a gift. I'm doing the latter, the game prizes are all under $10.

My questions is, should Mommy to be gifts just be baby related or would you do stuff for the mommy?

Also what kind of things do you think make good game prizes?

So far I have avon bath soap/lotion (for guest and mommy)

I have a set of antibacterial soap also Avon that i will probably match up with some nail polish or something else hand related (ideas?) Think I may get some antibacterial soap for mommy too to help with all those hands after the precious bundle is here.

I also got picture frames, a cool one for the guest and one in a duck shape from for mom (Shower theme is duckies)

For got to add that there are 5 games.

Another idea I had was possible a cup of some sort, I know the plastic cups with the straws are popular right now. Perhaps get one for the guest then get one for Mommy with some bottles or something for the baby?

Candles are an option too I suppose

I just went to a baby shower. We only played 2 games.

Baby Bingo. I won first! The prize was a bath and body works lotion and scrub. There were 2 other prizes for that. I think they were all the same.

The prizes were only for the guests,

The other game was we all had to pin some felt diaper on us when we arrived. Then we all had to look at once and see who had the dirty diaper. That person won a prize. That lasted about 20 seconds. The bingo took a while.

We're playing four games at my daughter's baby shower. The prizes for the Baby Bingo game are Yankee candles. The prizes for the other games range from $10 WaWa (a corner convenience store) gift cards and the door prize is a $25 WaWa gift card.
All the prizes are for the winners of the games. I have never been to a shower where the mother to be/bride to be also got prizes.

At my best friend's shower we did lottery tickets, Bath and Body works stuff and Yankee Candles as prizes.

Bath and Body works and Yankee Candle have their semi annual sales going on right now so you can get some good deals on stuff.

These aren't gifts, they are prizes for the guests playing who win the games played.

There is still gifts for the baby, this doesn't replace that.

Why would the prizes for the winners of baby shower games be baby gifts- that makes NO sense what so ever.

One shower I went to they gave Tupperware, a few others gave lottery tickets and last one gave Godiva. Personally I prefer NO games-that are just painful!! My "FAVORITE" game was when they went pulled names of everyone there out of a hat and they won a prize-no painful "game" to go alone with it!

I'm confused. So, the guest will be playing games and the winner will get a prize, right? So not sure why they'd be baby related? Just for a theme, you mean? I'd much rather just get some nice non-themed gifts. The last baby shower I threw (years ago) the prizes were a photo frame, Yankee candle, nail polish, etc.
