Thumbs up The Perks of Being a Wallflower

The movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower happened to catch my eye on cable, and what a great movie . The best teen-related movie I've seen in a long time. Who else has seen it? It's from 2012.

Really enjoyed the movie and want to read the book; I hear it's very well written (in first person narrative). The movie had a great cast and a heart-warming story about being different and still finding your place in the world, thanks to love of family and friends.

We love it. There are some great shots of Pittsburgh.
The high school scenes were done at the school DS goes to.

Awesome movie

"The Perks of Being A Wallflower" is one of my all-time favorite books. I read it as a sophomore in high school and had to share it with all of my friends.

I'm also a fan of the movie, and really appreciate that the author, Stephen Chbosky, wrote the screenplay and directed it.

Coming-of-age stories aren't something I usually enjoy, but "Perks" is definitely the exception to the rule. As is the film "Fish Tank," which I highly recommend: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fish_tank/

I saw it in the theater with my teen dd. I loved it. Thought it was a great movie, very well done. My dd has also read the book and said they did a pretty good job translating it to film.

I loved it. It proves that there are some good movies out there, even in the Redbox.
