No ADR... am I nuts?

We leave on the 28th and I don't have one ADR.

Am I crazy? I'm thinking since it's a slow time of year and we'll be there during the week it's not a huge deal. Also, I'd like to try going with the flow this time and not having such a set plan. It's just the two of us.

Here is what I'd like to do on the days we'd be sitting down... we are going for F&W so some of those days we don't plan to do table service.

Arrive on Sunday, head over to DTD and eat at Fultons.

Tuesday, head to Mizner's after MK closes at 7 and then I don't know what, maybe Narcoosee's, maybe Cali Grill, maybe Citricos, maybe somewhere else completely... we could eat at the bar.

Wednesday, Il Mulino after Fantasmic gets out.

Thursday, lunch at Brown Derby.

Do you think I NEED an ADR at any of these places?

Thanks for the input.

IMO, not as crazy as getting the dining plan and having to schedule your entire day around three meals every single day. Lol

You might consider getting an ADR for lunch at the BD. I've seen walk-ups turned away a few times there.

As long as you're flexible and don't have someplace you really HAVE to eat, it'll be okay. it's a little easier to be flexible with counter service, though, than with some of the hotter signature places... If I really have my heart set on someplace particular, I do make an ADR. But only one per day (at most). Don't want to be a slave to dining while at Disney!

Was there last year for last week of October. We did walk up for Brown Derby lunch twice; place was empty. We did Il Mulino and Bluezoo late dinners as walk ups too.

If you are flexible in where and are eating outside of the regular times you should be okay.

I originally posted in the Resorts board by accident. I re-posted on here and requested that this first post be deleted, but it was moved instead. Sorry!!!

i will never ever go to wdw without at least my dinner adr's. lunch are usually grab and go. breakfasts are usually easy to get as long as not character meal.

if you have DDP....make adr's!!!!! if busy you may not get the full value of the plan. And disappointted fam members.

My boss went the first time last yr with their 7 yr old. He has money and not afraid to spend it. stayed GF but was very upset he couldnt get reservations, while there, for the nicer places around wdw. I had warned him and he figured it wouldnt be that bad. he is planning another trip and is asking me about all the ins and outs this time............paying me to make his adr's etc........suprise trip for wife and DD.

It all depends on your group, but my husband and I rarely make ADRs until we are actually on our vacation. If there is a restaurant you are really interested in, or an occasion you want to celebrate, definitely go for the ADRs!

Otherwise if you are willing to be flexible and open to trying out different restaurants, not booking ahead of time gives you the option to eat what you are in the mood for in the moment, instead of trying to figure it out months in advance.

Some of the high demand places like Ohana, Le Cellier, CG, Narccossi, 50s PT and possible Sci Fi I dont see you getting into those.. Some of the places I think you can will be Kona, T Rex, Grand Floridian Cafe, Nine Dragons, Biergarten, The Plaza, beaches and cream, ESPN Grill, Capts Grill, Capt Jacks, and a few more..
