We pay cash. We got a gift card for my oldest, so she wouldn't have to carry cash.

Cash for food/impulse buys. Credit if it's something over $50 or so. Generally it's all cash though (except room and tickets)

We had gift cards and credit cards on our last two trips. I'm not a huge fan of gift cards only because of the need to keep track of what's on them. Although I did pick up a bunch at Target around the holidays last year when they had a coupon for a $10 Target GC when you spent $50 and it worked on gift card purchases. I ended up with 20 - $50 Disney gift cards and $200 in target gift cards, - 5% from using our Target Red Card for a total spent of $950. Hope they offer those again this x-mas season but I have a feeling they'll modify it to not allow gift card purchases or figure out a way to limit the number of times you can use the coupon.

Back on topic, credit cards are accepted pretty much everywhere so we carry little cash both in our daily lives and on trips. I've pulled $20 out of the ATM and not touched it for months. As long as we pay off the bill every month, it's so much easier than carrying cash. The only caveat is if you are on a strict budget or feel that cash (or GCs) will help you stay on a budget, go that route for sure. Credit cards can be trouble. Been there, done that.

I use a credit card for everything, everywhere, and pay it off every month. I hate cash. I did Disney gift cards one FL vacation and I found them to be a pain.

We did 90% from gift cards and kept track once they were gone we used out debt card that we use for vacations.

We are doing gc because I have a target redcard and got 5% off with it. We are also paying off the hotel with them.

I buy them through out the year at Safeway....
If you get one for $100.00 at a time you get 4 gas rewards, a few times a year...
I'm a big fan of the gift cards! Also cash. No credit cards here = no bills and guilt later!

We use our debit card for all purchases not at the rolling carts. I don't like using gift cards because there is too much hassle and documentation to safe keep in case it is ever lost or stolen.

If you have a Disney visa REWARDS card it CAN be used just like the Disney Gift Card but only for selected restaurants,shops & hotel gift shops! I have used it @ the Grand Cali gift shop & White Water snacks.

They have them at the 44th Street and Thomas location in Phoenix as that is where I bought mine. I know that isn't close to Chandler, but it isn't too bad of a drive as you can take the 202 to the 44th Street exit, turn right, drive a little over a mile and you are there.

Also, I found them in the back of the store near the electronics and video games in one of the end of aisle displays.

We use cash and our debit cards, but mostly cash. With the cash I do not bring all of the cash with us. I usually will allow a certain amount a day and take it out of the atm as needed. It does cost a little extra in fees but I don't have to worry about lost or stolen cash either. I can also keep a better handle on what we're spending that way.

Yes, They just run them as Credit. No PIN entry.

We used either Disney Gift Cards bought with my 5% off via Target Debit or my Chase Disney Debit card for everything.

Used less than $30 in cash (mostly churros lol) in 6 days there.
