My first solo trip in April. Then my birthday and first mother-son trip in May. Then DD's 12th birthday, her BFF's 13th birthday, and BFF's first trip in August. Then my first couple/kid-free trip with DH and our 11th wedding anniversary in September. And then the joy of the holiday season with just my youngest, since the older kids will each have had their turn. Lots of celebrations next year, and lots of blessings to enjoy.

Taking DD down in January. She's going to be a Photopass photographer in DCP. Then in June we get to go back to pick her up!

To Celebrate Life and Recovery!

We're headed down December 9. On that day in 2011 I experienced a stroke affecting my left side. Today I'm "back," with the exception of some general lack of stamina, some equilibrium and memory issues.

Amazingly we went to Disney in February of this year for a trip we had already booked and paid for -- I was in denial, I think! I had to rent an ECV, couldn't do many of the rides. I am still not sure it was a good idea. Left wondering if my Disney days were over. This trip is an effort to reclaim my love of Disney.

The trip is a shortie, mostly to enjoy a MVMCP. We've been on 3 prior December trips, but have never done the party. Still can't walk too far without tiring out and will give in and rent an ECV in the park if necessary. Wish me well with your prayers and pixie dust!

In October 2013, I have a birthday (1st Oct) as does my brother (1st Oct) and my other brother (10th Oct) and my mother (13th Oct). (FTR, our dog Oscar's birthday is the 2nd Oct too.) So we shall be celebrating LOTS of birthdays when we go on the 30th!!!

(Plus just getting back. I've been saving $5 a day towards upgrading to the Deluxe DDP and my parents are working extra hard to get more money for WDW too. It is a challenge, but we just want to go back so much.)
