Re-booking later if AP discounts show up?
We're looking at a trip in April and have AP's for the first time. If we book a resort now, and AP discounts show up in a few months, is there any problem with canceling that reservation and making new ones under the AP discount?

Nope, they will convert your reservation that you have to reflect the AP discount. We are going to do that soon for our trip next year. That way you have the room that you want for sure. I would make sure to call though as soon as you see those AP rates out.
I used to be a travel agent and would always monitor my clients reservations for discounts. Always made their day! Kim |

If there is an AP discount - Disney wil apply it for you on an existing reservation. You don't have to cancel it & make a new one. You just have to ask.
Disney is unbelievably kind in doing this. They know how to keep their guests coming back. One caution - APs are dangerous. They give you more trips a year! We LOVE this kind of danger!!! ![]() We go about 4 times a year now that we have APs.

Yes. Applying discounts is so very easy! I originally booked in Jan. with a pin code. When the fall discounts came out I called to adjust it. A day later the AP discounts were released and they applied those when I called. Service was very quick, too.

As others have said, it is easy to have a discount applied later. HOWEVER, keep in mind that the resort/room type you currently have booked must have availability under the AP discount in order to have that discount applied. Having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied, so sometimes you have to be flexible with the resort/room type in order to take advantage of a discount.
