What do you do during the last week before you leave?

Just curious what kinds of things everyone does - I am running over plans in my head trying to think if I have everything covered.

- Hotel booked, room requests in
- Transport booked
- Tickets booked and printed out
- Treats packed
- Still need to pack pack, but getting stuff together
- Reservations made (should I make reservations for Naples and Tortilla Jo's?)
- Von's grocery list put together

Am I missing something? We are staying at the GCH and having a pool day the day of MHP (9th) - should I rent a cabana or just wing it?

If you want a cabana you better call. I tried renting one for morning before the MHP on Tuesday and was told they were all booked.

And I tried 2 weeks ago.

This the point at which I put all my ressies into a spreadsheet with park hours, etc & back that up on my phone and email. Obviously, I get a little stressed right before we leave...

We leave on Friday so here's what I have to do this week.

Haircuts for most of us
Trip to Costco for our snacks- we drive to Disney
Bank for cash
Transfer Disney rewards $$ to card
Laundry
Pack
Get together all of our electronic items- ipods, chargers, headphones etc.
write up a note for the person taking care of our dog
Vacuum house
Clean
wash the sheets
Make copies of all confirmations for our travel folder
Start packing!
Inventory our pins so we know which ones we are looking for when trading


I didn't feel overwhelmed until I looked at this list! Now I"m freaking out!

It's a laundry and pack weekend for us too (leave week from today). Printed all confirmations and tix and Endeavour parade map. Loading up iPad with movies for flights. Spent last week lowering rental car rate (saved $270 overall from original booking months ago).

I try to relax as much as possible..or so I say I will....I usually end up doing a lot of last minute prep the night before, but this year I am leaving a day after grad, so I will need everything done two days before.

I do check my list to see if I have the essentials, a print out of my ADR, my tickets, and passport, and try not to act too hyper.

It's a little over a month until my vacation and I feel overwhelmed sometimes with grad and the trip, but then I take a deep breath and bask in the fact that I am going to DW!!!!!!!

Since I am an uber-planner, most everything is finished long before we leave. The week before usually consists of:

Cleaning the house (I love coming home to a clean house!)
Double-checking our planning binder
Confirming hotel reservations and shuttles
Finishing the packing
Getting the key to the pet sitter

Truth be told I usually do all of this the day before. It's a good use of nervous energy!

I'll be leaving on a Tuesday the 9th of Oct. I have to work the day before, so I will get all my cleaning done the weekend before. I will also get most of the packing done by Sunday. On Monday, after work, I will run for my Mani/Pedi and TRY, TRY, TRY to get to sleep early! (Getting to sleep early never REALLY happens, but I like to pretend it does)

Ugh.... I'm not a big fan of the week before my trips! It's all a little hectic for me!!! BUT....the reward is just so fabulous!!
