Paying for tickets with Disney Gift Cards
So, I'm terribly confused and a little upset. I just called to order MNSSHP tickets over the phone and pay with my disney gift cards. They told me no. They told me that they can only take two forms of payment so paying for my transaction with 5 gift cards is out of the question.
He also stated they would be unable to do this at the parks as well. ![]() ![]() ![]() He was very rude and actually laughed at me. I have NEVER been treated this way when calling there. He told me that I could not have payed for my package with multiple gift cards (which I did last year) and basically called me a liar. He told me that there was no way that was possible and that I must be very confused. so here I am now stuck with all these gift cards that I bought specifically for this purpose.

Ummm...he was wrong in more ways than one...
1. He never should have treated you that way and I would call back and address the issue with someone else. 2. I purchased MNSSHP tickets for my family of 5 using $50 Disney gift cards. I did this because I was able to buy them at Target with my red card and get another 5% off! Hope this helps you out! |

Thanks....that's what we've done too, the Target deal is too good to pass up
I called back and got someone who was more polite but told me that I couldn't do separate transactions either. ![]() Guess I'll give myself a few hours cooling off time and then try again.

This happened to me too. I had multiple gift cards, and I gave the guy the first two and then he tried to put another in and said it would only take two cards period. I ended up using one gift card and putting the rest on my Disney Visa. Not a huge problem for me as I can use the rest of the gift cards on the trip, but it wasnt what I was expecting.

At the Parks we are able to take an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards for any ticket transaction. For example, if you were buying four Premium Annal Passes ($2977.74) with 120 Disney $25.00 Gift Cards we could handle it. The people in line behind you might get a bit upset, but it can be done.

I just had the same issue while talking with someone at DVC member services. They said they can only accept two forms of payment and it has always been this way.

Buy your tickets when you there. I heard about only 2 form of payments problems so I took my GC and used them at check in. I had 5 or 6 and cash and credit card, so it took a while to process all of it but it worked. The CM told me they have a lot of GC processing, once it was 70 $10 cards. He also told me how often people use change and it is crazy imo but they always accept it no matter what.

I think that advice will work for a lot of people, but in our situation there is a DVC annual pass discount that is only valid through Dec 31st and we arrive on Jan 1st. I'm kind of stuck with having to buy it with a CC to save the $300/ticket.

I was told by a CM on the phone that I could pay for my package by CC and then if I get gift cards as gifts for christmas, add them to my account and then get a refund on my credit card. Any truth to this?

If you are dealing with DVC member services, just break your annual pass purchases up into individual transactions. If you break them up, you can use 2 gift cards for each annual pass. I just had to purchase ours this way to use up our gift cards.
For regular disney ticket purchases, maybe just call back and buy one ticket at a time until you use up all of your gift cards and get the number of tickets that you need. |

At any Park Ticket Window our system can accept an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards for any ticket transaction.

I recently bought 2 Premium Annual Passes at Guest Services at the MK with 17 $50 gift cards with no problem.
I also paid for the Dining Plan for 8 people over the phone with DVC Member Services using 41 $50 gift cards. Again, no problem. |

Policies can change...but I am planning on buying a boatload of GC for trips in Jan and Dec of 2013...a local shopping center is offering a 'buy $50 in GC, we'll give you $10' which I can use at Target, buying $50 Disney GC...so builds in a 17% discount. |

I booked our hotel room online for our trip in May last year. I wanted to add the park tickets later when I had the money. I bought gift cards as I got the money. I called in and paid for the park tickets with at least 20 gift cards.
THe CM was very polite and laughed and said that was the most cards she ever did. I still have the cards in our office. Again this was just this past May. |
