? about Oceaneers Club & Lab on Dream

On the Disney website, all it says is both clubs are for ages 3-12. But then I saw this on a review of the cruise:

spanning nearly an entire deck, Disney's Oceaneer Club is a supervised program for children aged 3 - 7, spilt into age groups of 3 - 4 and 5 - 7. The Oceaneer Lab is split into groups for kids aged 8 - 9 and 10 - 12, and offers high-tech interactive program

do they really keep those age groups separate? DS & DD are 5 & 9 and maybe eventually they'll go their separate ways but I expect them to want to stay together at least some of the time, if not all. I know for sure They'll want to the first time anyways.
Are the Club & Lab connected, like you can go from one to the other???

The club/lab are connected, they do not split the age groups. I had a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old on board in June, and I always dropped them off at the same place but when I picked them up my younger was usually found in the club and my oldest was in the lab. They just sort of gravitated to the activities that were more for their ages.

Ok, that's fine. I'm sure they will go their separate ways. I was just hoping they wouldn't be forced to be separated.
