As for the freebies, I'd say the lanyards you get when you check in are free. As are the pirate bandanas the stateroom hosts leave for you on your bed to participate in Pirate Night. I also make sure I take the daily Navigators with me. And because I'm a DVC member, I have some extra freebies for that, as well. I think non-DVC members who attend a DVC presentation will probably get the DVC tote and hat.

Other than the stationery and toiletries others have mentioned, stuff that should be available to the next guests in your stateroom should stay there.
does everyone get lanyards, or just CC members?

We were able to get the kids Disney themed ones on the Dream last year.

If you want to get them CC ones, I've seen lots on eBay.

no, they don't need a CC one, they'll just need a lanyard....i think it's much easier to carry the KTTW around in a lanyard..

i know i have one somewhere in the house from my last cruise, but i can't find it...i suppose i could look for one in WDW before the cruise..

Yes, they cost about $8. You can get cheaper ones before you come, if you wish.

this actually brings to mind a question i was curious about. if you listen to brents speach for preparing to leave the ship he stresses about a thousand times to NOT take the towels, how it is tempting to wrap your breakables in them, how they are looked at as great suvies, but if you do, you WILL be charged for them.
i can't figure out how they would know. i don't buy the inventory for each room bit cause i know we have taken washcloths out of the room and tossed them in with the pool towels when we were done. same with going to ports and taking towels. they get tossed in with the pool towels as well. never had a problem.
i'm wondering if they use the new tech with the towels being implanted with a chip. i know that the better hotels are doing this now to prevent loss. once you leave the hotel they can tell if towels are in your luggage and you are billed for what they read.
thats about the only way i can think of that they could control this. anyone know for sure? as i said earlier, i'm not buying the inventory bit. could be wrong but .......never had a problem myself and i have removed them from my room.

$8 is pretty inexpensive...and it's a souvenir

i just noticed your signature....we were also in tokyo disneyland in 1984!!
i'm trying to remember what month...DD was born at the beginning of october and i was pregnant with her...
it was towards the end of 3 months in the far east (on business) and we went to tokyo for some R&R before continuing on to the US, then to Europe, then back home..

i know that i flew home in my 8th month, so maybe i was in tokyo in my 7th......so i guess it must have been july 1984...

if you ask nicely sometimes you can get a dining room menu as a souvenir; we've done that once or twice over the years.

We got one on the Wonder for our KTTW cards, too. They had several choices

Well.. if you really want to get scuzzy...

sometimes people leave the DCL glasses around 1/2 full after the sail away party...

2 for 1 really...

A drink and a glass...

However.. I think you might need to sign some sort of waiver for getting sick from drinking someone else's left overs...
