ON the other hand Fran recorded an episode of Honey Boo Boo that I am watching while she is asleep. This has to be scripted because people can't REALLY be like this. Can they? I realize that (not to be stuck up), but I'm in the upper educated folks but there really aren't people this STUPID in America today ARE THERE?????

REALLY??? They must be scripted practiced actors because how would they survive if they were this stupid?
We don't have this show here but we see snippets of it on the breakfast shows when they talk about it. I don't get women like the mother, nor the child herself, I guess. This morning I was watching some of it on the tv when I was at the gym on the breakfast show and they were talking about how people like them do this to feel validated by society. I guess that makes sense, but do people really take people like them seriously? I feel repulsed with what I see about them on tv. This morning they were showing footage of when the mother was making noodles or spaghetti and the child was throwing it on the cupboard door and counting how many stuck. If that was my child I would be very unimpressed.

Anyway, baked almost 50 cupcakes today for DS's birthday tomorrow and am waiting for them to cool so I can ice them. Yay me. I'd rather eat them myself.

You've been busy with that many cupcakes. You can always send the extras my way, especially if it's chocolate.

I think we need to ban reality shows that make white trash people think it's OK to behave like they do because someday they will show up at CA Grill in sweat shorts and T-shirts and the stupid people there won't have the gall to tell them that they don't meet the dress code. Been there done that!
Okay. What are 'country crock' containers? I've never heard of them. When we had pay (cable) tv I used to watch the Duggars and they often ate off paper plates. I was also amazed at the amount of processed food they bought when they shopped, but each to their own I guess. When you've got that many mouths to feed I guess you're allowed to take shortcuts.

There were banana and choc chip as well as regular chocolate as I ran out of bananas 3/4 of the way through. I'll jump in my and bring some over.

You should all ask Princess in Oz to replace some her tim tams for Cherry Ripes and Caramello Koalas, too...

That was the episode I was watching. They were cooking "sketti" and that was the method they used to test if it was done. Well I made "sketti" last night and I actually tasted it to see if it was still solid in the middle or if it was soft. I imagine that the "soft" "sketti" is what sticks to the cabinet. Not having tried it I don't know. But I'm sorry, my sauce includes three types of tomato products, garlic, onions, mushrooms, basil, oregano, marjoram and hours of simmering to obtain it's flavor. not just microwaving butter and ketchup.

Good for you on the cupcakes! I made a pan of brownies and lemon bars for last night's dinner in addition to the spaghetti sauce. I need to pack it all up tomorrow. We're stayin at Disneyland Wednesday night for a BIG partay!

If they were throwing the 'sketti' at a cabinet or on the splashback in the kitchen, then it was probably scripted and quite well researched. I believe that the Southern Italians used to do this as a means of testing if their pasta was cooked or not.

BIG partay on Wednesday night?

Enjoy!

We used to do that with wadded up wet tissues or toilet paper at school in the toilet

I grew up with friends whose parents were from Sicily and I don't recall them ever doing that. They always tested with their teeth.

It's a little more temperate today. She's going to drive me nuts with this wanting to buy cars!

The realtor sent us some listings, OMG! Now I really want to move instead of build! I can't wait to see them in person!

Easier to move than wait for contracting. I need to save money for buying just a regular vehicle someday.
