We are leaving POR tomorrow
. I am seriously sad about it. I don't think we had enough time to enjoy all of the amazing things here. Really too bad the kids wanted to go to MK & the other parks LOLThere are so many things on my list that didn't get done; didn't see yeehaw bob, didn't do the campfire, didn't do the carriage ride or the boat ride. Guess we wilk just have to come back. And honestly, even with 5 kids - i think i would forgo the parks and just spend 3-5 days just hanging out at the resort. Quick question: we are off to wyndham bonnet creek tomorrow for a week......we have a 9:30am ADR for Ohana and a late checkout of 1pm for one of our rooms......will bell services hold our luggage while we take the boat to DTD for the afternoon and then come back for a final swim before moving on?? Wasn't sure of the "rules" when we are leaving but not taking a flight out?? Signed, Still here but missing POR already

LOL
Thanks Andre. We did in fact have that conversation!!!!! DH could take our boys to the new place while DDs and I extend our stay for 2 days......no luck convincing the finance manager (DH). I just love it here. Can't imagine coming to Disney and staying anywhere else. It is more wonderful than i had imagined. And now I "get it". There IS something magical here that you just don't get offsite. I will be back!! ETA: cross your fingers for a really HUGE snowstorm that cancels our return flight and then we HAVE to stay here again for a couple of days!! Do you think there is pixie dust in the form of snow?

We just arrived home today. POR was amazing!!! Thanks to Venomhatch for putting me in touch with the right folks there. We got some pixie dust sprinkled our way. We paid for standard view Royal Guest Rooms and ended up river view in Oak Manor with a corner room and connecting room right next to it. Absolutely perfect. We'd definitely stay there again. I was worried about the amount of walking but even though the place is huge, the walking isn't bad. Definitely not as bad as when we've stayed at Value resorts in the past. We walked to French Quarter for meals three or four times as we found they had better variety for our tastes (mainly the kids) there. Soooo much to do - we didn't nearly get everything fit in that we wanted...so I guess we have to go back and try again. All four kids were begging to stay longer.

Has anyone taken child to fishing excursion ? I can't find any info on it other than times. My DH wants to take me and my DS fishing. I would like to know how much it cost, how long it last and what are the restrictions, age limit? My son is 6 years old. TIA

as it was the one room type at POR I haven't tried yet).I already know roughly where our room might be, and if that works out I'll try to stream a live webcam of the river view from the window. Wi-fi dependant anyway. Andre

We are having to adjust our plans, my cousin is a CM, and is able to get 3 of us into disney for free, so now we just have to pay for 1 of our kids and hotel plus food. As long as we don't do crazy on eating out, we should be able to save about 500-600 dollars overall!!!

We have finally decided to stay here for our October vacation and are pretty excited. We originally booked POR-FQ, then decided to go to WL, then after wondering why we really wanted to spend almost $5000, we landed here. I cannot wait. We have a king room booked and I am going to use the fax number when it gets closer to request Alligator Bayou. We are arriving October 26th to November 3rd for MNSSHP. The other day I mentioned to my DH, why don't we arrive Friday evening instead of Saturday afternoon, then it's one more whole day in the parks. He actually loved the idea so I will be adding the extra day on this week. I am excited to arrive Friday evening, if all goes well ME will be dropping us off around 8ish. I plan on eating at Boatwrights, do you think we should have a reservation? And then explore the resort or hit the pool, depending on the weather. I am so happy to have chosen here. We have always stayed at CB and are looking forward to trying another resort.
