Even though I have done Andre's 360 degree room view a bazillion times (courtesy of www.portorleans.org) watching those videos back to back just caused me to email my TA to switch us from standard view to Royal Room standard view.

I don't know if it is the camera angle, the lighting or what, but the rooms simply appear to be so much more luxurious in the Royal Rooms in those videos. And since we are used to staying deluxe, I think these rooms will be a better fit for us.

Lucky for me my soon-to-be-10-year-old-DS's response to changing to a more princess oriented room was simply "Whatever Mom... is the pool still the same?"

I guess I will request Oak Manor, since it appears to be closer to the East Bus stop. But I suspect we will most be using the South Depot anyway, especially in the AM when we are heading from the food court. I also like it's proximity to the quiet pool laundry room.

It's kind of ironic that we switched to POR from POFQ to be able to use the Spring Discount. Now by upgrading to the Royal Room, our bill is only $75 less than if we had stayed at POFQ without the discount

Oh well, we still like the Royal Rooms decor better than POFQ, Regular Mansions or AB...

These are great! I was a little worried about how crowded the room would be with a Pack n Play and 6 people, but after seeing this, I think it will be OK. Thanks for posting them.

I doubt there's any point in asking for Magnolia Terrace over Acadian House as both buildings have some rooms near to the access bridge and some a good distance from it, just explain what you want (and send a fax 3-5 out too, if you wish).

I would not do the online check in now that I am seeing guests having issues with the web site.

I'm guessing the person who told them about the 90 day booking window for ADRs was last at WDW in 2009. That was the rule at that time. I know because it was our first time back to WDW since 1985! I think it was for just that calendar year. I do know they were back to 180 days in 2010 and I take advantage of this every trip.

Are you sure? Because I've got PassPorter guidebooks from both 2007 and 2009 that say 180 days. (The 2006 book says 90, though.)

OK, I was really confused by these two posts, since as I said in my last post, the 2007 and 2009 PassPorter guidebooks said 180 days, so I did some research on the PassPorter message boards. Talk about confusing! In October 2005, it went from 90 days to 180 days. Then in December 2008 it went back to 90 days. Then in October 2009 it went back to 180 days! Since the PassPorter guidebook comes out early in the year it's for (in other words, the 2013 book will be coming out soon), the change in December 2008 was too late to be reflected in the 2009 book.
