Help what BIrthday cakes does the Boardwalk bakery do?

Hi not sure where this should go but......

The day we travel is our Oldest DS birthday we are hoping to get a custom cake made for 1 of our ADR's as it's also our 4th Disney wedding anniversary while we are there we will be eating at A few signatures so will get the cake delivered to one of them.

What I'm thinking is that my son would like a cake the day we arrive and so I thought I could pop to the boardwalk bakery and get a cake from there!

Can anybody help me with what cakes they do and any pictures Please!!!! I know they won't be the really fancy cakes but I'm hoping for more then those Sara-Lee ? Cakes you can get at any restaurant, I could just pop to walmart or somewhere like that but was hoping not to as I'm not driving.. and it will feel more magical going down there!

If all else fails we are surprising our 3 boys with this trip and telling them at Frankie & Bennys while having breakfast of pancakes at the end we will have a cake brought out that says your going to Disney world Today!!! So our son will get a cake just a day early as we check into a hotel that night and fly the next morning.

Any help much appreciated

1) If you "pop to Walmart", pop to Publix grocery store.
2) They have an EXCELLENT bakery for cakes.
3) Good tasting and well decorated.
4) Plus, you will save bucks over WDW pricing.
5) Correction - you will save mega-bucks over WDW pricing.

The Boardwalk Bakery makes wonderful cakes. I had a lovely anniversary cake made for my parents a few years ago and it was delicious. Call the Boardwalk and ask to be connected to the bakery. They will be able to answer your specific questions and lead you through the ordering process.

Boardwalk Bakery will not deliver to all WDW venues. See the cake thread to find out where they will deliver it.

If you plan on bringing the cake to a restaurant yourself, the restaurant will not hold it in the kitchen and bring it out for you. You would need to keep it at the table.

If you would like to carry the cake to your resort, you can pick it up at the bakery.

Im already having a fancy cake made for our dinner at Cali grill,(to celebrate our disney wedding anniversary )So I just wanted to grab a cake to take back to our villa at SSR for our sons Birthday as its the actual day we fly.

I just thought it would be nice for our 1st night to have a small celebration in the room as we will have been flying for around 9 half hours and will all be tired..
