Considering returning to the World...what's changed with pin codes?
We have taken advantage of the awesome deals Disney has offered on cruising the past five years, think it's been 7 years since we visited the world. Back then, the best deals were free dining WITH discounted rooms...we have five in our family and never paid more than $2500 for 7 nights at the Poly (we travel in the lowest times...2nd week of September or down weeks in January).
When I check now, first, seems there are more hotels and the options are driving me crazy...takes so long to get an 'actual' quote with everything we need...(tickets/room/dining) We have done two cruises with kids sail free and average less than $500 a person for 7-10 night cruises...and our last cruise (just two weeks ago on Fantasy, we found great GT rates).. Is the best deal to be found the emailed PIN codes? Does Disney ever offer any 'phenomenal' deals anymore?? I just don't think 30% off a $495 rate is that great a deal..we booked AKL for $89 a night one year with free dining! I just think those days are gone...curious how they're filling rooms after 7 years...mostly Pin codes? Thanks!!

There's almost always a general code out there. Free Dining just ended yesterday so if you looked this AM it's off of the site. I imagine new general offers will hit the site in the next week or so. I'd say more book with general offers than they do pin codes. There's also military discounts, ap rates, dvc rentals, etc. They aren't hurting for business.
You can't stack discounts anymore so the days of a a deluxe room on discount with free dining are gone. |

I agree that the website is a little annoying when you enter all your options but then you want to change the resort to compare prices and you have to enter everything again. It'd be a lot easier if you could just change one option and get a new price without changing everything.
