Cyndi sent us this update last night.

She said, "Totally forgot to take any pics of lunch. We were at DHS and went to different carts. I did want to mention that DH and DS14 had a sausage, pepper, and onion sandwich at the Dockside Diner that my DH said was the best thing he's eaten so far!"

Then for dinner, Cyndi & family were at the Saratoga Springs Resort's...

Artist's Palette

Chef's Dinner Special: Chicken Parmesan and Penne Pasta Marinara served with a breadstick

Cyndi said, "Three of us had this and it was pretty good."

Caprese Flatbread with Olive Oil, Roasted Garlic, Plum Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella, and Fresh Basil, drizzled in Reduced Balsamic Vinegar

Cyndi said, "My DH had the flatbread, which he said was very good."

Took me about 3 days off and on to get through all 64 pages.....All I can say is....... Amazing! Thanks, Barb! Makes me wish we were going sooner....we will have to wait until Christmas Eve next year. If this is still going on, count me in! We have a trip to Hilton Head for the first time in April to look forward to.

Just a reminder that next up to the Disney Dining plate will be...

HoneyBeeM

-and-

klinlin

HoneyBeeM and family are holding their annual Disney family reunion from Nov. 16-21. They will be staying the first two nights at Yacht Club and the remaining nights at the Swan. They're especially excited this time around because they'll get to see her little sis for the first time in months! She is currently working in the DCP as a fairy godmother at BBB. There will be five of them, plus some aunts and uncles. So plenty of food to go around! AND, they have a ressie for Be Our Guest on Nov. 20!

HoneyBeeM has offered to do live updates during their trip!

klinlin - Kristi will be at Disney World from 11/16 - 11/23.

She has volunteered to do live updates for us while there!

HAVE A GREAT TRIP, HoneyBeeM & Kristi!!!

Holy cow, that caprese flatbread looks so good! Does anyone know if it's sold in other spots besides Artists Palette? I can't justify a trip to SSR just for that, DH would kill me.

Roma sent the final update of her trip this morning and it was our First Update of the Day.

Her last meal was at their resort, the Beach Club's...

Beaches & Cream

Roma said, "We split the Bacon Angus Burger. As is the course for me, it seems I got a little too excited and ate half before taking the picture..."

"For our grand Disney finale, we split a small No Way Jose. We could never dream of finishing the big one! This was so gooey and delicious. Even Mr. Roma, who doesn't really like ice cream, loved this."

Small No Way Jose - A Peanut Butter and Hot Fudge Delight with Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Morsels, Whipped Cream and a Cherry

We received an update today from Nanabug02. She and her DH arrived at Disney World and had their first meal at Magic Kingdom's...

Columbia Harbour House

Nanabug02 said, "Here is our first meal at WDW! We had a lobster roll, bowl of clam chowder, chips, and apple crisps. Lobster roll was good, but too many onions (but I don't like onions). DH loved the chowder and we both really enjoyed the apples crisps. Great counter service meal."

Then they also visited...

Gaston's Tavern

Nanabug02 said, "Here is my hubby with our first snack, the LeFou's Brew. Really good! Very unique flavors."

Oh my goodness, I'm having a hard time keeping up with this threat - 6 pages read and by the time I post I'll probably be behind 2! There's so many wonderful live updates. That caprese flatbread at Artist's Palette looks wonderful. Glad to see that the red velvet cupcake lovers are sending photos. Yum!

I'm looking forward to more BOG reviews as that place fascinates me. I want to eat in that dining room so bad.

Barb thank you once again for all of your wonderful work with this thread.

Love the photos of the Turf Club. That is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at. Wish I could be eating there tonight! It is like one of those little hidden gem restaurants. It is nice and quiet with really good food.

Love, love, love that grilled salad. I couldn't believe how good that thing is. Also, I think the prime rib is the best.

Thanks for the photos!

Our First Update of the Day was sent to us by Nanabug02.

She and her DH were at the Grand Floridian Resort last night to have dinner at...

Narcoossee's

But on their way to the restaurant, they stopped to take this great Holiday-themed pic...

Gingerbread House (located in the Grand Floridian Lobby)

They began their dinner at Narcoossee's with these cocktails...

Dirty Shirley (Shirley Temple with Vodka) and Captain Morgan Rum & Coke with Lime

Nanabug02 said, "When I ordered the Dirty Shirley, the waiter laughed and said we shouldn't say that too loud."

Then for their appetizers, they chose...

Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes
Served with Gingered “Sweet Potato Salad” with Herbed Creole Mustard Sauce and Candied Pecans

NB02 said, "This was my appetizer. They were yummy, as always! The sweet potato salad on the side had a weird consistency, but was tasty."

Oysters Two Ways
Note from jabead: Couldn't find a description of this anywhere, so I think it might be new to the menu.
So to the next live reporter who dines at Narcoossee's... BONUS POINT FOR A MENU PIC!

NB02 said, "This was hubby's app. He didn't love this. The oysters themselves were great, but he said the other flavors overpowered the dish. He ended up just eating the oysters and leaving the rest."

Then for their entrees, they chose...

House-made Fettuccini "Scampi"
Florida Wild Sustainable Jumbo Shrimp and Maine Lobster with Curly Spinach, Baby Heirloom Tomatoes, and Lemon-Chardonnay-Garlic Cream

NB02 said, "This was okay, pretty basic seafood pasta dish. I didn't finish it."

Butter-poached Lobster Tail and Grilled Filet Mignon
Boniato Mashed Potatoes, French Beans, and Herbed Cabernet Emulsion

NB02 said, "Hubby gave this two thumbs up!"

Then for their desserts, they chose...

Baked Chocolate Mousse served Warm and Chocolaty with Bourbon-Caramel Sauce and Whipped Cream

NB02 said, "This was soooo good and soooooo rich. Highly suggest. But could only eat about a third of it."

Almond-crusted Cheesecake finished with Lambert Cherry Sauce

NB02 said, "This is hubby's fave dessert in WDW! Great as always!

1 point for First of the Day, 1 point for the Gingerbread House, 1 point for Dirty Shirley ('cause this was new to me ), and 1 point for the Scampi Entree.

Our next update was the first from HoneyBeeM.

She said, "Good Morning from WDW! We decided on our drive down last night to truck through to Disney instead of stopping overnight. We got a room for the night at Port Orleans Riverside."

So this morning, HoneyBeeM & family had breakfast at...

Riverside Mill Food Court

Her little bro chose...

Power Burrito with egg whites, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and cheese

HBM said, "My dad had this and said it was great!"

"Mom and I split a parfait, oatmeal, and a cinnamon roll. The oatmeal was awesome...very creamy.
Cinnamon roll was hot and flaky. Yogurt was just okay."
