Ginamarie & family were at the Yacht Club tonight to have dinner at...

YACHTSMAN STEAKHOUSE

Virgin Pina Colada

"Hubby's favorite beer (new to the menu)."

Lobster Bisque

Onion Pull-Apart Roll and Butter with Sea Salt

"We also had roasted garlic spread, which was amazing!"

28 oz. Porterhouse Steak with Herb Fries and Roasted Garlic Butter

Ginamarie said, "This was ridiculously large! More than half of it came back to our hotel room as leftovers."

Kid's Chicken with French Fries and Veggies

Sauteed Onions

And now for dessert...

Kid's Puzzle Dessert

Peanut Butter and Pretzel Gianduja Cake
with Salted Caramel Gelato and Liquid Ganache

Ginamarie said, "The cake was good, but I didn't care for the gelato...too salty."

Lemon Pudding Cake
Blueberry Shake, Fruit Leather, and Candied Lemon

"Hubby and baby loved it!"

Stopping by to get my live food fix for the day! That lemon pudding cake at YSH looks pretty delish but for some reason I am craving a slab of beef right now!

And two hours later, Alice & Snow were also at the Yacht Club having dinner at...

YACHTSMAN STEAKHOUSE

First the menu pics...

Onion Pull-Apart Rolls

Alice said, "I love the bread here. Honestly, I could come here just for the bread with the sea salt butter and roasted garlic."

Cocktails

Alice said, "Regular margarita and mine is a tropical something (sorry!!). Snow says her drink is amazing.
I proposed to mine it was so good."

Caesar Salad

"Snow said "WOW! Homemade dressing is to die for, she loved the deconstructed presentation.
After finishing it, she said she was already content with the two dining credits being used."

Artisanal Cheeses (no blue)

Alice said, "I liked my cheese plate. I wish they would have told me what I was eating, since the accoutrement on the far left in the photo was tomato based and I really dislike a strong tomato taste. The second cheese was hard and served with grapes. Very good. Third cheese was I believe a parmesan reggiano served with a raisin based chutney. I have no idea what the fourth cheese was, but it was served in a peppered olive oil and was really good. I even got Snow to try the last two and she was surprised at how much she liked them (she's a cheddar only girl, I'm trying to fix that )"

28-oz. Porterhouse Steak with Macacroni & Cheese (subbed for the Fries)

Alice said, "I talked snow into getting steak!!!!! We both had the porterhouse. Mine was medium rare and she destroyed her steak (hehe) and had it cooked well. We both subbed in the Mac and cheese, which I was slightly nervous for her to try since it isn't the tradition cheddar but she liked it (phew)."

"However, she had to send her steak back since it came out pretty pink in the center, more of a medium-well than a well. They were very apologetic, recooked her steak to a brown color (I was so sad ) and even gave her a new Mac and cheese. At which point, she devoured her steak! Yay!! Conversion to steak lover step one...complete."

And now for dessert...

Birthday Cupcake

To quote Snow, "I've been treated better at Disney than at home on my real birthday."

Alice said, "This was such a difficult choice...but since I love salted caramel and peanut butter my choice was clear.

Snow was so adventurous and ordered the lemon pudding cake."

Peanut Butter and Pretzel Gianduja Cake
with Salted Caramel Gelato and Liquid Ganache

Lemon Pudding Cake
Blueberry Shake, Fruit Leather, and Candied Lemon

"Snow said hers was excellent. The blueberry shake was very fresh and the lemon cake had a strong lemon tartness that she thought melded well with the blueberries. Mine made me tingly. I literally shuddered in delight. I now want to eat nowhere else but Yachtsman for the rest of the trip.
SO GOOD!!!"

Okay, after two breakfasts, three lunches, and four dinners (including four 28-oz. Porterhouse steaks ), I'm feeling pretty stuffed. So I think I'll go to to bed now! Good night, everybody!

Loving this! We leave in 5 days and I just got a smartphone loner for a month in order to use it on this trip. I'd love to report back but I'm not too savvy using this thing yet.

That would be great, budafam! And don't feel bad, I've had my IPhone 4S since April and I still don't know how to use some of the apps that my DS has put on it. Do you think it would be easier to text or email in your updates? Either would be fine for me.

Oh, and would you like to share your dates, resort, or anything else regarding your trip so I could add you to my list (located in Post #2 of this thread)?

Alright... Yachtsman can stay in my plans...

I'm thinking since we are NOT on the dining plan we may share a steak. If it was later in the trip and we were at VWL we could get our own and then have the leftovers the following day but it's early on now so that won't be possible...
