We are going to take a little detour West now for a little Disneyland food fun, sent to us by our Live Reporter there,
Linda (Linda67).
She arrived at the Disneyland Hotel yesterday and her first taste of Disneyland was from...


Trader Sam's
Enchanted Tiki Bar
(located at the Disneyland Hotel)





Linda said, "Ladies and Gentleman, I present the Hippopottimo-Mai-Tai from Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.
A blend of light and dark rum, pineapple and lime juice. Delicious!!!"


Linda also added, "Trader Sam's has just taken first place as my fave Disney bar!!

Then for dinner last night, Linda dined at the Disneyland Hotel's...






Tangaroa Terrace Casual Island Dining is a quick service retreat complete with lit torches and music from the South Seas.





Crispy Tofu Salad



Linda said, "This was Panko Crusted Tofu served on a bed of crisp cabbage, lettuce and tomato salad, and served with a citrus, soy dressing (on the side). I really didn't expect much of this dish but wanted something quick and light back at my hotel. I was pleasantly surprised, It was absolutely delicious and a wonderful and flavorful dish! The veggies were fresh and crisp and the dressing really added a nice spicy kick. According to the description on the menu, coconut was used in the breading on the tofu but I didn't pick up that flavour at all. I really enjoyed this dinner and sitting on the terrace under the tiki torches was a lovely way to wrap up a long day."

"After a couple of spins on Radiator Springs Racers it's time for breakfast at Flo's V8 Cafe."

Linda said, "The fruit was really fresh. The yogurt was low fat strawberry and the muffin was a lovely fresh blueberry one.
Great light and healthy breakfast that gives me the perfect excuse to eat something naughty later today!!

Linda said, "So I had a healthy breakfast and now it's time for a not so healthy snack!"





Clarabelle's Hand Scooped Ice Cream - Disney's California Adventure






Hand dipped Ice Cream Bar



Linda said, "I chose Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, dipped in Dark Chocolate with "the full herd" of toppings (basically everything).
One word - AWESOME!!!!!!!!"

And this report regarding Linda's lunch today...



Linda said, "In my mission to collect as many souvenir glasses as possible on this trip, I decided to take a seat at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar for a late lunch, ahead of tonight's Halloween party."





"The Krakatoa Punch"
A blend of light and dark rum with Almond and orange liquor


Linda said, "This is my new favorite cocktail - not too sweet and how can you not love a drink served in such a cute glass! For those who don't know much about this bar, certain drinks cause special effects to take place in the bar.
This beauty caused the volcano through the windows to erupt complete with full lava flow
(and the happy barman spraying me with water!)"






Grilled Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos


Linda said, "The tacos were so soft and fresh and the Mahi Mahi was perfectly spiced and the slaw and dressing were perfect."

Linda added, "I encourage anyone in the area to check this place out for light snacks, great cocktails and appetizers."

emmebear said, "This is Americanized Indian food but I'm glad to have it as a choice. The Naan bread was made fresh.
The chicken was kind of dry in some parts. The cupcake was huge!"








emmebear said, "Emme loved the basmati rice! We got seconds and used the TIW discount."

I'm sorry!! I barely managed to get pics with my regular camera. We got news on our way to dinner that our house in CO was under mandatory evacuation due to rapidly growing wildfire. My DH and I were both super stressed. He wants to fly back to CO early. However, since the house is evacuated there isn't much he can do so we are torn on what we should do. The fire has already burned almost 2000acres since yesterday afternoon. They have no containment as high winds and gusts are preventing air crew to help fight it. Those same high winds and gusts are also what is causing it to spread so much. So anyways that is why there were no pictures.

Chris said, "DH and I shared the breakfast pocket. It was good but would have been better if the crust wasn't burned."

I love Flo's!!! I've only had lunch and dinner but now I want to try breakfast!
