Thanks for PM! So exciting, although it still feels a long way off since we are going at the end of January. My DH and I usually go with the flow and do not make ADRs, but we did schedule California Grill since it will be closing for refurb.

I love all the responses from the January team members. It looks like it's going to be a really great month.

Ok, now let's bring on some live updates, starting with our First of the Day from Debra (debrapagliasotti).

She and her family had Christmas dinner at Epcot's...

Tutto Italia

For their appetizer, they had...

Tortino Di Zucchine
Baked zucchini, pomodoro, mozzarella, parmesan

Debra said, "We had 2 orders of this. So good and full of flavor."

Bread

Then for her entree, Debra had...

Cannelloni al Forno
Baked cannelloni pasta, spinach, ricotta, bechamel, parmesan cheese

Debra said, "I ate all but one bite. Would definitely order again!"

Then Debra also sent in an update from her lunch today at Animal Kingdom's...

Tamu Tamu Refreshments

Turkey and Swiss on Focaccia served with chipotle mayonnaise and chips

Debra said, "This was really good and a large portion. Dessert was cheesecake. Hubby really liked it, but I thought dessert was just ok."

1 Holiday Roulette Bonus Point Earned for First Update of the Day

2 Point Roulette Bet placed on Epcot Group 5 for Tutto Italia at Italy
2 Point Roulette Bet placed on Animal Kingdom Group 2 for Tamu Tamu

Next we have a couple of updates from Amy (AppleSister1).

She said, "There was a sudden downpour yesterday at Epcot so we ducked into the wine bar at Italy..."

Tutto Gusto

Amy first sent some menu pics...

Sadly Amy's food pics from Tutto Gusto turned out really dark due to the lack of any natural light inside Tutto Gusto.

But here is what she said, "Six of us shared two of the cheese plates...yum!! Then we had Seafood salad and asparagus, which were also yum!

"Here is a very dark and blurry shot of DNephew2 with bread from the cheese plate!
It was hard to get good pics here because it's so dark, but we all loved it!"

"Then AppleSister3 and I visited La Cava de Tequila and had this..."

Cucumber Margarita
El Mayor premium silver Tequila, orange liqueur, caramelized pineapple juice, fresh basil, cucumber and agave nectar, served on the rocks

Amy said, "This was yum, with chili pepper salt to cut the sweetness."

Next we have AppleSister3's...

Classic Margarita
El Mayor premium silver Tequila, orange liqueur and lime mix, served on the rocks with salt on the rim

Then Amy's group had dinner at...

Teppan Edo

"Brother-in-law's sushi appy."

"Tempura appy...nephew1 approved!"

3 Holiday Roulette Bonus Points Earned for Menu pics and pic of DNephew

2 Point Roulette Bet placed on Epcot Group 5 for Tutto Gusto at Italy
1 Point Roulette Bet placed on Epcot Group 7 for La Cava at Mexico
1 Point Roulette Bet placed on Epcot Group 4 for Teppan Edo at Japan

Sorry that I wasn't able to get any updates posted yesterday. I am hosting a family Christmas party today and was busy preparing for it. It's going to be our 3rd Annual Christmas Around the World Party with food and wine from France, Italy, Germany, Latin America, China/Japan, South Africa, Australia/New Zealand, and Greece, in addition to the U.S. I'll try to remember to take pics, but if it's like the last two years...well, let's just say I go into "crazy busy" mode come party time. But anyway, I will post just a couple of the updates which I received yesterday, while I drink my morning coffee and mentally prepare myself for the day.

Our First Update of the Day was actually a continuation of an update which I posted on Thursday night from Amy (AppleSister1). At that time she sent me pics of their appetizers, but then yesterday I received pics of their entrees. So I'm going to now post pics of their entire meal.

Amy's group had dinner on Wednesday at...

Teppan Edo

"Brother-in-law's sushi appy."

"Tempura appy...nephew1 approved!"

And now for their entrees...

Nephew1's Shrimp

Nephew2's Steak & Shrimp

Amy said, "I had the scallops, as did AppleSister2. BIL had steak and AppleSister3 had shrimp. We all loved this meal!"

2 Point Roulette Bet placed on Epcot Group 4 for Teppan Edo at Japan

Amy also sent a short update yesterday from their lunch on Thursday at Magic Kingdom's...

Be our Guest

Amy said, "Yesterday we were lucky enough to get into BoG for lunch! It opened at 10:00 a.m. this week. The nephews and I had Croque Monsieur (Grilled sandwich of carved ham, Gruyere cheese, and bechamel). Applesisters had the Veggie Quiche and BIL had the Quinoa Salad.
We all agreed this was a lovely new option for MK."

Then we received this final update from Debra (debrapagliasotti), as her trip ended yesterday.

Debra said, "Dinner this evening was eaten while at MCO. We used leftover dining credits and picked up sandwiches from the Boardwalk Bakery. We got 4 of the Turkey, Bacon, and Swiss Sandwiches with chips and Mickey blueberry muffins for dessert. The sandwiches were HUGE!!! These were really good and fresh."

To-Go Sandwich from the Boardwalk Bakery

I believe Debra will be doing a full dining report soon, so be sure to check it out for all the delicious details of her trip.

2 Point Roulette Bet placed on Resort Group 2 for the Boardwalk Bakery

I also received a final update from disneychristmasx3, but sadly my coffee cup is empty so I guess it's time to get to work. I'll get her update posted tomorrow, along with any updates I receive from Amy today.

I tried to send in dining reviews, but our internet connection at SSR was truly awful. And I took all of the food photos in the camera. Uploading to photoshop or just trying to send it via e-mail was out of the question since I kept getting dropped. I eventually had to give up. And I felt bad about it. If I get a chance to try it again, I am definitely doing it on my phone. This is a fun thread ..... food porn every day - WOOT !!!

Very excited to be a live reporter! We are unsure if we are sticking with our DDP or we are going to change to QSDP. If we do regular DDP then we have reservations at :

'Ohana
La hacienda
Akershus
Boma
Kona
Tusker house
Via Napoli - this one we will keep no matter what!

We are going to try and stand in what we hear us a very long line for BoG lunch but it depends on our kids 5 and 6 months.

Must try snacks:

Chocolate covered everything! No but really just grapes and pineapple
Sea salt caramel
Napoleon

I just wanted to say thanks so much for starting this thread, jabead. I really enjoyed watching this thread before my trip and then documenting my meals while I was there. I'm sure I'll keep reading this thread to see what other folks are eating and enjoying.

That sounds like an amazing Christmas party--what a great idea!

I'm getting so excited for my trip--less than two weeks to go!!! Here are where we have ressies as of now:
The Wave breakfast
Pasta in the Park party before the half-marathon!
Grand Floridian Cafe lunch
Boatwright's dinner
Jiko dinner (I spent a looooong time deciding between Jiko and Artist Point, which were mine and DH's faves last time we were at WDW, and eventually chose Jiko, and now I'm sad because Artist Point would have gotten me more points haha )
Ragland Road dinner
Whispering Canyon dinner
Be Our Guest dinner
Kona breakfast
1900 Park Fare dinner

Mmmmmm that's a lot of yummy food! I can't wait to get to the World and start eating! Thanks so much for maintaining this thread, I love it!!
